(Y/N)'s POV

I watched in horror as Mnemosyne's fingers sank into the poor Athena camper's head. It was like she had pushed her fingers into sand.

The reaction of the Athena camper was even worse. He let out a silent scream before his jaw dropped. He went cross-eyed and his tongue stuck out of his mouth limply. Drool began to dribble down his chin.

Mnemosyne removed her fingers from the camper's head and he fell onto the ground on his face. He didn't move.

"What...WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Percy screamed, shock written on his face.

I probably looked exactly like he did. "Did you...? Did you just—"

Mnemosyne cackled. "I made him brain dead. I can manipulate the memories of anyone I lay hands on. Naturally, I can mix them up, remove them, or add in ones that never existed, thereby completely ruining someone's mind. It's like an extreme lobotomy in a way."

Percy panted heavily. "So...is he...still alive?"

The Titaness glanced down at the camper with distaste. "Yes. He is. He's still conscious at least, though he can't move. Though..." She flicked her whip, and it stiffened into a spear. She stabbed downward. "Now he isn't alive."

I yelled in rage and jumped to my feet, gripping my sword. I turned myself invisible and charged at Mnemosyne. Percy was right behind me, furious as well.

Mnemosyne dodged my sword swing, even though I was invisible, and swung her whip at Percy, who jumped back to avoid it.

"I can still hear your footsteps," she told me. "And the sound of your breathing. Anger sure makes one easy to locate."

I unleashed a blast of dark mist, which rammed into the Titaness. She grunted and was pushed back a little, but she stood her ground.

Percy leapt at her and she parried his attack with her whip, which had stiffened into a spear again. She slammed her head into his, and Percy stumbled, a little dazed. She then slashed him with her whip.

"No!" I yelled, before realizing that Percy was perfectly fine. His Achilles invincibility had saved him.

Mnemosyne glared at him. "So that's the only reason Hyperion didn't kill you where you stood. Having to use a power like that to beat us, how pathetic."

Grover ran up and put his reed pipes to his mouth.

"Grover, no!" I warned, but before I could do anything, Mnemosyne raked Grover across the face and chest with her whip.

He went flying into the air before landing next to the chopper down tree. He was out cold.

"Grover!" Percy cried before getting his head grabbed by Mnemosyne. His helmet covered his head, but the Titaness was trying to take it off.

"I wonder if your curse keeps your mind from being tampered with," she mused. "Let's see."

I ran and stabbed in a chink of her armor. She grunted and somehow managed to elbow me in the face. I stumbled and got slashed by her whip.

I fell to the ground, my mist dissipating, making me visible. My armor had mostly protected me, though my cheek was bleeding.

Percy swung his sword at the Titaness, but it bounced off her armor harmlessly. She grinned. "Too bad, so sad."
