Chapter 20- Loose Ends

By this point, Izuku has normalized the hours he spends late at nights. The cool breeze in the nights are something Izuku didn't think he'd frwo fond of. However, tonight will br another one of the most eventful nights. As Izuku promised himself, he had to confront the cause of everything.

One of Izuku's dark portal gates appeared in the rooftop of a building and out of it, Izuku stepped out. He was met with the same consistent breeze of every night. Izuku approached the edge of the building as the gate closed behind him. There it was, in front of him stood the building where Gesu was being kept at until his trial begins.

"Gesu..." Izuku whispered to himself as he layed eyes on the building.

Inside one of the containment rooms, Gesu was present there, still awake. He was sitting down on his bed and looking at the ground, his eyes almost looking completely dull. His blonde hair was messed up, far from his original near perfect hair style. His room didn't help as it was also dim from the night sky shining through his barred windown. He began to think back to where this all started, for him at least.

Gesu remembers waking up in a room full of different kind of tools, tools that were tainted with blood. He was instantly startled by the sight and crawled back till he hit the walk. He immediately began to question his surroundings but then an image of his friends flashed in his head.

Gesu then attempted to look for his friends, Inokuso and Kanamei but they weren't anywhere in the same room. He would then leave the room and run off exploring what looked like an abandoned warehouse. Eventually, he found the two of them. They both had severe injuries and were tied up back to back on rusted up metal foldable chairs. Gesu would rush to the both of them and picked up a random knife on the ground to try and cut them free.

"Kanamei! Inokuso! What happened here?!" Gesu explained as he was getting on his knees ready to cut the rope.

The two were to a surprise, alive and conscious and yet, they didn't say a word to Gesu. Gesu assumed it was shock from the pain they suffered through or something along those lines.

However, they all suddenly heard a metal door burst open followed by a mix of multiple heavy footsteps. Gesu sighed of relief as he assumed it was people coming to help them. However, he then looked back at Kanamei and Inokuso, who both shared a similar expression of fear with their eyes shaking to match that said fear. Gesu was confused by their expression and before he knew, Kanamei began to scream for help. Inokuso followed Kanamei's lead and they began to scream for their lives.

The police force then came into the room and spotted the three of them, with Gesu still holding the knife. Gesu was going to attempt in trying to ask for help but before he could, Kanamei yelled.

"Please! Help us, before he hurts us again!" He's a monster!" Kanamei screamed with her raspy and shaky voice as tears trailed down her ruined face.

"What-" Gesu said before getting cut off again.

"Save us from this monster, please! I don't want to die!" Inokuso yelled for help too, completely freezing Gesu on the spot.

Two of the police force men rushed to roughly push Gesu down to his knees. One fo the police men forced him to drop the knife but Gesu didn't react. His eyes were wide with shock as he couldn't comprehend the entire situation fully yet. Everything felt slow for Gesu as the police now forced his hands to his back and onto the ground and as he saw the police enforcement free Inokuso and Kanamei. The two were immediately taken to the ambulance outside and now multiple sirens can be heard outside the building.

"I was...no...I didn't...I didn't do this! Please listen-!" Gesu had his head suddenly pushed to the ground.

At the same time, the other police officers continued to roam through the building for anything else. They would soon arrive to the room Gesu woke up in. The officers saw the tools covered in blood and could only come to one conclusion...torture. After that, Gesu would be taken into containment and more later on, the investigation began. Taking things back to the present.
