“Then how about dinner? Tayong apat?”
I almost turned my head to them when I heard Silva’s suggestion.
But since Spencer remained looking at me the same, bumitaw rin agad ako ng tingin.
Hindi naman siya mukhang galit…but the way he looks at me certainly changed.
After a few more minutes, I paid mine and since I did not have any other option, I walked towards their spot.
“Do you want to go home already or shall we have dinner with them? It is Silva’s birthday today.”
I don’t care if it’s her birthday or not.
Tumikhim ako. “Hindi ba tayo gagabihin sa biyahe?”
I just want to say ‘no’ actually, but Justine seemed genuinely interested. And he is friends with Silva…bago pa niya ako ligawan noon ay magkaibigan na sila. And just like what he said, it is her birthday.
Saan niyo gustong kumain?” Silva asked once more, her enthusiastic voice started to get into my nerves.
“Ikaw na lang ang pumili. It’s your birthday.” Justine responded, chuckling.
And that seals the plan.
Silva paid for her clothes and we waited for her at the corner. Spencer was beside her because she brought more things.
“Are you sure that it’s really fine?” Justine murmured beside me.
Tumango naman ako at ngumiti.
He knew that I like Spencer because it is just a fact known to most students but I’m not really sure if he knew that Silva likes Spencer too.
But it’s fine, wala rin naman kaso sa akin na palagi siyang nakadikit kay Spencer. I’m immune to it because basically, they are always together.
On the way to the resto, Silva and Justine are the only ones talking at paminsan minsan ay sinasama ako, but Spencer remains quiet and would only answer in a few words if asked.
I thought he would be more outgoing in places like this but he seemed more relaxed and cool when we were in the library. And his demeanour is more serious as well.
It was a seafood restaurant.
I hesitantly walked in with them, hoping that there would be non seafood on the menu. And at this point, I am considerate enough to consider her choice.
His eyes were wide as he looked at me.
“You have an allergy to seafood, right?”
Hindi ko mapigilan na mapangiti. This was his reaction as well when we had our first date, I told him that I’m allergic to seafood but still, he booked a seafood restaurant.
