Laws in Love II: Spencer Ace

Chapter 2

I looked at the students around me. Kaunti lang naman kami kanina pero paunti-unti ay malapit na kaming mapuno. And maybe because exams are near and we are all cramming with our requirements.

Nakaupo ako ngayon sa library kasama si Kale at gumagawa ng essay, pero hindi ko mapigilan na mainis sa mga naririnig na bulungan at hagikhikan sa bandang likod ko. 

Tahimik kanina pero ngayon ay hindi ko na alam.

I stopped what I was doing and looked at Kale who remained doing her thing, not bothered by the noises. Napahinga ako ng malalim, nahihirapan akong gumawa kapag maingay ang paligid ko. 

This is a library for god sake and students are supposed to shut their mouths. Their little murmur bothers me to my core. 

“Lapitan mo na, magpapaturo lang naman.” I heard one of them clearly from the table behind me. 

I clenched my jaw and put down the pen I was holding.

“Baka mamaya umalis na si Spencer.” They added more which totally broke my concentration. 

Kaagad akong napatingin sa paligid ko at hinanap ang pigura niya. And they were right. He is here with the other student officers. 

They all looked serious and they had their own laptops. May kalayuan sila sa pwesto ko kaya hindi ko na rin napansin ang pagdating nila, and maybe because my head is about to explode from making these freaking essays.

“Busy siya eh…” I heard again.

Tuluyan akong napatingin sa likod ko at sakto namang napatingin rin sa akin ang apat na babae roon. 

“Shut your mouth will you? This is a library.” Madiin pero mahina kong sambit. 

But still, it was loud enough that other students nearby also looked at me. 

Umiwas sila ng tingin at pero nanatiling matalim ang tingin ko. I waited for them to respond, but since they did not talk back and remained quiet, I went back to my work.

Wala na akong narinig na usapan pero pagkaraan ng ilang sandali ay umalis ang isa sa kanila hawak ang isang notebook at naglakad palapit sa grupo ni Spencer. Naglakad siya sa likod ni Kale kaya kitang-kita ko pag alis niya bigla.

She has the guts, huh? Good for her. 

I watched her talk to him closely and just like what I had expected, he tried helping her. I even saw Silva’s eyes squinting at the girl and stopping whatever she was doing.

I couldn't help but smirk. 

It's good to see her pissed off. Hindi lang naman kasi ako ang may gusto kay Spencer at marami kami. She really can't stop anyone. At wala naman silang relasyon. I may be delusional but she is on another level of delusion.

At least I am aware that I am not in a relationship with Spencer and that almost all the girls, or probably all the girls like Spencer. Even Kale had a crush on him before I started noticing him.

Hindi ko naman kasi siya napansin kaagad. I've been to many places and have seen men with handsome faces so Spencer was nothing to me. 

Bukod sa tahimik naman siya at mas nauna siya sa akin ng ilang taon, I was not really that into him before. Pero paunti-unti ay natangay na rin ako katulad ng ilang kababaihan dito. 

Maybe it started when I saw him play basketball at school which we were forced to attend, and then he became the president of the student body, and from that I started noticing him more.
