XIII. Boat Invitation

Charles noticed a big difference with his brother since the British GP. It seems as though, him disappearing after the race and not even waiting for him or Thalie. It seems that whatever happened had given him confidence to pursue being close with Lettie.

Because once again, the redhead model was a guest of Ferrari but unlike the first time, Arthur was much more comfortable in chatting, sitting, and flirting with the model.

As Charles sat in one of the chairs a few meters away from his brother and the model, Carlos had stopped next to him. The older driver studied his teammate, Charles was watching the pair with furrowed eyebrows and a bewildered expression on his face.

"What are you looking at?" Carlos asked making Charles jump in surprise, "What the heck Carlos." He said as he placed a hand on his chest. The older driver raised an eyebrow at him, "Why are you confused?" he asked again.

Charles simply motioned to the sight in front of him, and as Carlos turned to the direction he was motioning to, he realized what has caught his teammate in shock, "Oh I see. You are confused how you're brother can quickly transform from shy and stuttering to confident and flirting?" he asked with a smirk.

The Monegasque sighed but nodded, "They must have been together after the race in Silverstone. It is just impossible that they become this close randomly."

The Spanish driver hummed and nodded, "I guess. Hasn't Arthur been disappearing randomly since Hungary?" he asked his teammate.

Suddenly an epiphany seemed to have dawned on Charles, "You're right. They're dating-"

"Alright don't go into conclusions. Have you asked your brother?"

"No."

Carlos sighed and shook his head, "Talk to him, then maybe he could give you some advice too." He muttered. Charles looked at him confused and asked him what he meant by his words but Carlos simply laughed.

His laugh was heard by Lettie who turned to them, "You said they weren't in good terms." She said motioning to the teammates. Arthur turned to his brother and teammate and shrugged, "They just needed to cool down I guess."

After the race in Hungary, the two Ferrari drivers seemed to have another misunderstanding. But like always they had moved on from it and from the looks of was actually getting along again, what with the two of them seemingly looking like they were gossiping.

As a quick silence engulfed the two, that's when Arthur remembered his question. The same question that Lettie was teasing him that he had forgotten the multiple times they had seen each other after the F2 driver had decided to actually join her for her shoot.

"Lettie, I remember my question."

"Well, what is it? Spit it out before you forget again." Lettie joked with a chuckle. Arthur hummed, "Well, do you have any plans for the summer break?" he asked.

The Monegasque knew that his question would be a stretch because he knew that their summer break did not mean that the model would have the same summer break.

And with a sigh and shrug of the model, that was proven to be true to Arthur. "Unfortunately for me, as you and your family are off to spend the nice summer together, I will be in Monaco for some work." She said.

And like a beacon of hope and light, Arthur suddenly got another bright idea, given it was far fetched from what he originally planned but if Lettie agreed, it was would be better than the original.

"So, you'll be in Monaco?"

"That's what I said Arthur."

They chuckled and the light air around them only made Arthur more confident with what he would be asking, "Do you think you'll be able to spare even just a day for me?"

Lettie raised an eyebrow at him, "What did you have in mind?"

"Boat day. Me and my family always go out on Charles' boat-"

"Hold on Arthur." Lettie said, stopping him as her cheeks turned into another shade of red, "You want me to join your family on a boat day?"

He nodded with a smile but she was not convinced, "Why?"
"Why not? It will be fun and I know you'll love it."

Lettie pursed her lips and stared at him, unsure about the whole proposal. But Arthur pouted and batted his eyes at her, "Please. You'll have so much fun. And Thalie will be there too!"

It took some please and promises but it didn't take long for Lettie to agree. She had to admit it would be so nice to be on a boat around Monaco. But what worried her so, was Arthur's mom and eldest brother, oh what would they think of her?
