Battle Of The Second Monastery

"Kai? Nya? Zane? How'd any of you get here?" Lloyd asked, pulling his hood down as we ran over to greet his friends. "If I had any idea, I'd tell you," Nya replied, causing Lloyd to turn to Zane. "Do not ask me. I was only reactivated moments ago," Zane told me. "What are you waiting for?" Empress Beatrix demanded furiously, flying her hover chariot down towards us, "Get them!" Lord Ras jumped up onto one of the Photacs, kicking its rider off before he led the rest at us in a charge, all yelling. "Uh, didn't you come here to stop the Photacs? 'Cause now there's a lot more!" Kai pointed out, sounding slightly panicked as Nya, Zane and I prepared to fight. "Yeah, quick update," Lloyd replied, "Fight the beasts, protect the dragons. Oh, and the wild kid is on our side." "What 'wild kid'?" Kai asked, looking around for them, only to turn to see her as she jumped at the Photacs, shooting fire at one with a growl. "Is she doing fire? Uh, she can't do fire! Fire's my thing!" Kai declared jealously, pulling up his hood as he ran into the action. Nya then rushed in, attempting to attack a Photac with spinjitzu, only to be quickly hit back by its head. "Whoa, these beasts are tough," Nya admitted as Zane then attempted to freeze a Photac in ice, only for it to have no effect as Rapton knocked him back to the ground. Ras began quickly trying to round up the dragons as we tried to take down as many Claw members as possible to shrink down their army. "What is that thing?" I asked Zane as Lloyd and I landed next to him. "When I interfaced with it, it self identified as the 'Monastery of Imperium'," Zane replied as he fired ice at another Photac, "It shares some similarities with our own Monastery of Spinjitzu. And who are you?" "He's Tarim, one of my new students," Lloyd replied as Nya landed next to us, having once again had no effect on the Photacs with her elemental powers. "Any tips you're not sharing on how to bust these things up?" Nya asked us hopefully. "We can't defeat them," I admitted, "They're indestructible." "Oh, that's an important detail. You were going to mention this, when?" Nya demanded furiously. "We're buying time," I explained as Lloyd knocked a Photac back with an energy blast, "My brother and Sora still have a plan. I hope," I added quietly to myself.

Wyldfire then made a huge wall of fire to block the Photacs advance, Kai jumping over it to lob more fireballs at the Claws. "Not bad fire. But don't worry. I'll give you some pointers later," Wyldfire told Kai. "What?" Kai replied, turning to her incredulously before spinjitzuing over to Lloyd as he and I knocked over two more members of the Claws. "There can't be two Elemental Masters at the same time! It's impossible, also, it's rude!" Kai told Lloyd, clearly jealous and unhappy over the situation. "I can't make sense of it either," Lloyd admitted, "Which is pretty much how everything's been going for me lately." Zane then made a huge ice wall to buy us time, blocking the Photacs from advancing at us. "I have calculated our odds of winning this battle," Zane informed us. "Oh, fun. I'm guessing they're pretty solid," Kai sassed. "Yeah, more like our only option is to retreat," I retorted. "Tarim is corrected. Retreat is our only option," Zane confirmed. "Retreat where?" Lloyd pointed out, looking around, "We're in the middle of Imperium!" "Maybe this new Monastery can hold them out for a while," I suggested, looking back at it, "We need more time for Sora and my brother to finish their plan." "A good idea. My scans suggest the Monastery's fortified walls will be able to keep the Photacs out. At least temporarily," Zane confirmed.

"No retreat! No surrender!" Wyldfire roared in reply, adding a firewall next to Zane's wall of ice. "Impossible kid's right," Kai agreed, "We're in this fight, so we fight." "No, we have to barricade ourselves in the Monastery," Lloyd argued, "Sora and Arin's plan is the only way we have a chance to defeat these Photacs." "Fine, let's do your cowardly plan," Wyldfire groaned as she jumped on Heatwave's back, "Dragons, attack!" All the dragons rushed in, forcing the Photacs and Claws of Imperium back briefly to provide our window of escape. "Dragons, go!" Wyldfire ordered, being the first to race into the Monastery as we followed behind. "Oh no you don't," Rapton swore, firing the missile on his Photac's back after us, striking the door just as Nya closed it with the controls. "You can't hide from us, Ninja! Even in there!" Lord Ras swore, charging at the Monastery door and slamming his hammer into it. "Lord Ras! Lord Ras!" Dr Larow yelled as she dashed over to him, " I... come bearing bad news. Uh, the prisoners we had? Not exactly imprisoned anymore." "Free?" Lord Ras repeated, furiously lifted the scientist off the ground, "All you had to do was babysit them!" He roared, tossing her to the ground as he stalked back towards the palace to deal with Arin and Sora.
