Sora stood beside Zanth as we prepared to continue our search for the Dragon Core as I turned back to the cave entrance to thank Arrakore. "Thank you for your hospitality, Arrakore. You're a great cook, and even better singer," I praised as Arrakore smiled at us. "Feasting and heroic song is the only way to celebrate victory over Howlers. Plus it's allowed me to regain enough strength to wield some wish magic again," Arrakore told us confidently, holding up the necklace around his neck, "I doubt I could grant any major wishes, but a small one such as yours should be within my fragile power." "I wish we could locate the missing Dragon Energy Core," Nya requested, Arrakore glowing as he granted the wish, handing a magical compass to Nya. The piece of land grew in size as Arrakore gasped, collapsing to the side as Sora and I rushed over to help him up. "You okay, Arrakore?" Sora asked him in concern as Arrakore merely smiled gently at her. "It is okay, Ninja Sora, Ninja Tarim," He assured us, floating back up, "My strength shall grow back with time and practise." "So this thing is what - acts like a kind of compass?" Nya asked Arrakore, looking down at the stone in her hand. "Yes. It will point you towards what you seek," Arrakore assured her. "Thank you, Arrakore. You may have just helped us save the world," I thanked him, bowing slightly to him. "It is but a mere token compared to the great debt I owe you," Arrakore replied. "Come on then," Nya told us as we got onto our dragons, flying away in the direction the compass pointed, waving back to Arrakore who returned the gesture.
We ultimately arrived at some form of junkyard thanks to the compass Nya had wished for from Arrakore. The three of us jumped off the dragons, lowering our hoods as we checked the compass, only to find it spinning around crazily, providing no clear direction. "This is where the magic compass led us, but now the arrow's just spinning. We must be close," Nya decided, placing the compass in her pocket, "What is this place?" "Seats, car keys, a single sock?" I questioned, looking at the rubbish hanging on a nearby tree, "Looks like some kind of junkyard to me." "You'd think a glowing Dragon Core would be easy to find in all this," Nya admitted as Ryu sniffed suspiciously at a tunnel in the ground before it began to rumble. "Woah! Do you know what's happening?" Sora asked Nya as we struggled to stay balanced. "Mergequake?" I suggested. "Feels different," Nya replied as junk started flying up from the hole, knocking us over as some crashed into us. "This place just got even more strange," Sora admitted. "Yeah, trash geysers?" Nya agreed, pointing back to it. "Some of this stuff is brand new," I noticed, picking up what appeared to be an Imperium device, "Sora, isn't this Imperium tech?" "Yeah, and you're right, it's brand new. How'd it end up here?" Sora wondered, confused. "I'm still not seeing a Dragon Core," Nya admitted as we spotted a pair of kids standing in front of a cliff, who quickly started running upon seeing us. "Hey, you!" Nya yelled as we ran after the human and Serpentine. "We need to talk to you!" Sora added.
"Hey, we just want to talk!" Nya yelled as we raced after the two kids as they dashed through the junkyard. "Please! Stop!" Sora shouted as the two vanished behind the rocks as we were sent flying back by a rock monster striking the ground. "No one touches these children!" The monster yelled in a surprisingly human voice as we flipped to our feet, easily smacking Sora away into a pile of junk as Nya and I leaped at it as well, Nya tossing her trident, only for it to glance off as I kicked it in the head. The monster attempted to smash us as we fell to the ground, but Nya grabbed us, pushing us to the side with spinjitzu, causing the monster to stop as it looked down to us. "Spinjitzu?" The creature questioned, clearly shocked. "Huh?" Nya questioned, recognising the voice as she lowered her hood, "Cole, is that you?"
"Nya, why does this huge angry monster know your name?" Sora asked Nya nervously. "That monster is Cole," Nya explained, "Well, sounds like Cole. Doesn't look like Cole." "You mean the missing Earth Ninja Cole? The Hero of Shintaro?" I asked. "Shintaro?" Cole repeated as the rocks collapsed away, leaving behind the Earth ninja's human form. "I can't believe it!" Nya yelled happily, rushing over to hug him as Cole did the same before looking at us. "Wow. Someone's done his homework on me," Cole said, looking impressed. "Huh, my brother and I are ninja fans, Arin even more. He once had a barber give him 'The Zane'," I whispered, stroking my hair as Sora snickered. "Please tell me your kidding," Cole requested, looking highly unamused. "I wish he was," Sora replied with a slight grin. "Could've been worse, he could've asked for 'the Lloyd', or worse Mr Hairgel, aka 'The Kai'," I offered, causing Cole, Nya and Sora to laugh, the first nodding in horrified agreement. "Yeah, but you never told me Cole turned into a giant rock monster," Sora said to me, returning to the subject at hand. "Well, that part's new," Cole told her, scratching his head.
