"Do not worry, my brother. It will not be long now," 'Jordana' assured him, the pair turning to glare down at Ras from the balcony where they watched their 'Master' train, "And he shall pay for what he has done to you." "Good. He must be crushed," Nokt snarled, watching as Ras flipped over the training column before continuing his stances. "Oh, he will be," 'Jordana' purred gleefully, "Just as his ancestors once were. And the long delayed plans of the Forbidden Five will finally unfold."
"Look out!" Wyldfire yelled, pushing Blekt out of the way of a falling brick as the pair walked down one of the street's of the city, knocking his ledger from under his arm before he stood, knocking away Wyldfire's arm when she tried to clean his suit. "Ugh! I don't care for being jostled about like a sack of beats," Blekt complained, glaring at her before he noticed the brick where he had been walking, "But I really don't care for getting crushed, so, thank you for your timely intervention, young lady." "You know us ninja, we're all about helping others," Wyldfire replied, handing Blekt back his ledger before she added, looking down, "Is what they keep telling me." "I wonder what could have caused that brick to fall like that?" Blekt wondered, concerned. "Eh, sometimes bricks just fall, no way someone set that up as a prank or something," Wyldfire replied before adding hastily, "Hey, hey, bet that an important guy like you has major important things to do, huh?" "Yes, my duties are quite indispensable," Blekt agreed, turning to go, "I'd better get in with them." "Heh," Wyldfire chuckled, pulling out the real Ledger from behind her back, spinning it on one hand, "switch to the fake and that grump never even noticed. The being crushed by a brick prank works again! The lava tides used to love it! And it rarely ever decimated their entire village," She added before opening the ledger, "There's gotta be some clues to Blekt's crimes in here. Huh? What language is this? It's gibberish!" She complained, holding it up in different directions to try and read it, causing her to ultimately fall backwards.
"Master Wu?" Cole asked again, shocked as the three of us stared up at the spirit of the ninja's former Master, "Is it, is it really you?" Wu nodded slightly in reply to that before turning silently towards the Monastery doors, the three of us following after him as we came into the Monastery's large central room, which was surrounded by what appeared to be portal gates. "Master Wu? Where'd you go?" Cole asked, the old Master's spirit having seemingly vanished. "Cole, bro, look," Arin said, pointing around to the different archways. "They're portal gates," I recognised, looking over them, "Looks like there's one for each realm. So that's how how they deliver the invitations to every competitor." "You're right," Cole agreed, having stepped forward to examine each gate more closely, finding an image in the circular port above each, "This one looks like Mysterium, and that's the Land of Lost Things." "And here's the Cloud Kingdom!" Arin added, pointing to it, "I guess we know where these three go then. And here's Ninjago. Home." "And, yep, 14, 15, 16. One for each realm, just like I thought," I noted, counting through them.
"Yes," The soft voice of Master Wu confirmed, causing us to gasp in shock as we turned around to find his spirit had floated down at the opposite side of the Monastery from the doorway. "Master Wu. It's really you, isn't it?" Cole asked hopefully. "Yes," Wu replied, his voice sounding slightly strained, as though speaking in this form were a challenge. "We've missed you so much. What happened to you in the Merge? Are you, are you departed?" Cole asked softly, clearly worried by the idea. "And why are you suddenly appearing now?" Arin asked, stepping towards him slightly. "Horns," Wu replied, nodding up at the ceiling, causing my eyes to widen in horror. "Horns?" I repeated, "Does he mean that?" "He does," Cole confirmed, revealing the horns with the flashlight in one of his mech's arms. "The crowns of the murdered dragons," Arin murmured, horrified.
"Wait, Master Wu. There's something we need to know," I requested, stepping forward, glaring at the spirit, Arin nodding in agreement, "When we last spoke to Ras, he claimed you were responsible for the Merge. Are you?" I asked with a soft snarl. "Tarim, Ras is a liar. There's no way Master Wu would ever-" Cole started to argue. "We need to know!" Arin and I both snapped at Cole, frustrated, "Did you intend to cause the Merge?" Wu bowed his head in reply, seemingly ashamed. "Yes," Wu confirmed softly. "Huh?" Cole questioned, shocked as I snarled, eyes flashing red with rage as Wu separated into four smaller orbs of light once again, vanishing into the pictures of Mysterium, Ninjago, The Cloud Kingdom and the Land of Lost Things over there portal gates, "That, that can't be right." "Everything we thought we knew," Arin murmured sadly, clearly heartbroken as I hugged him tightly, seething with anger, "It's all wrong."
