The ninja stood around a table in the Monastery's underground hangar, Nya rolling out a map as we discussed our new mission to retrieve the Dragon Cores. "We think the three Dragon Cores can be found here, here, and here," Nya explained, pointing out each location on the map, "We have to retrieve all of them if we want to stop the Mergequakes and stabilise the world." "So we have to split into three teams," Lloyd decided, "How do you wanna -" "Me, Sora and Tarim," Nya cut in firmly. "Yeah, me, Nya and Tarim. And Ryu," Sora added hastily, patting the small dragon's head, "We're a team." "Then me and Arin will be a team," Lloyd concluded. "Sounds good. And that leaves..." Arin added, smiling mischievously at Kai and Wyldfire. "With him/her?" Kai and Wyldfire questioned, furious, "Just don't get us into trouble!" The pair turned away from each other, crossing their arms. "Oh god, there's two of them! The world is ending!" I yelled in mock panic, causing Arin, Sora and Nya to snicker as Lloyd grinned. "I will remain at the Monastery to handle any Mergequakes that arise," Zane informed us, "And to also work on figuring out the portal gates. There is a high percentage chance that the gates are linked to the Merge. Perhaps since it worked on the Imperium side of the gate they will be the key to finding the other ninja. And Pixal," Zane added, clearly hopeful.

"Thanks, that could change everything. Sora, Tarim, let's go," Nya ordered, only for Sora the dragon to fly up upon hearing her name, knocking the table to the ground, "Oh, right. I guess Sora should be coming too." The pair gave each other a confused look at Nya simply repeating their names, not understanding. "I was talking to Sora... uh, the other Sora, not that Sora," Nya tried to explain, only complicating things further, as they looked to her in confusion, "Both of you! Huh, we're headed out. Me , Tarim and Sora." "Which one?" Arin asked, and from his expression I honestly couldn't tell if he was teasing her or genuinely confused. "The person," Nya growled out in irritation, "Us and Ryu will travel by dragon. Which includes Sora." She grabbed the person by the arm before gesturing up at the dragon. "Which one?" Lloyd asked, now clearly teasing her. "The dragon!" Nya snapped back, losing her temper, "Uh, this name thing is gonna cause problems." "Don't worry, you'll pull through," I assured her as we jumped onto Sora the Dragon's back. "If they're travelling by dragon, then so are we," Wyldfire informed Kai with a smirk, "We'll ride with my family. Heatwave." "Wait, wait. Where am I gonna sit?" Kai asked her. "The obvious place. Behind me," Wyldfire replied, crossing her arms. "But I'm older," Kai argued, hitting her back. "Exactly. Behind her's the perfect place for your afternoon nap, old man," I told him with a huge grin, causing Wyldfire to roar with laughter as the others snickered, Kai glaring daggers at me, "I know people your age need those." "I'm not that old!" Kai argued, furious, before turning his back to us, "And for your information, naps are awesome." "Yeesh, glad I'm not in that group," Arin admitted to Lloyd. "You and I are going to take the Destiny's Bounty," Lloyd told him, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Flying by airship should be easy. Smooth sailing ahead."

Nya, Sora and I travelled by dragon, Sora and I on Sora the Dragon's back and Nya on the Lightning Dragon as Ryu flew beside us through a storm towards the location of the Dragon Core we were meant to find. "We're here!" I yelled back to them, checking the map as we landed, "According to the spirit, the Dragon Core we're looking for should be right... here," I said, gesturing to a large tomb in front of us, moving forward to push the lid off. "Oh no," Nya murmured, seeing the Core was gone, "This can't be good." Continuing our search we entered the tomb behind us, Sora holding up a lantern so we could see where we were going. "Are these tunnels getting smaller? I swear they're getting smaller," Sora admitted, concerned as she gestured to the walls. "Sure, this ancient tomb is not exactly the safest place we've been," Nya agreed uneasily, coming to a halt as Sora and I stopped, only to see a skeleton pinned to a wall of spikes.

"Understatement," Sora and I told her, turning to Nya. "Yeah, I'm thinking we're not wanted here," Sora added, nervous, "The booby trap spears that shot at us when we entered was my first clue." "The Dragon Core we're looking for is missing. This tomb is the only way I know to find out where it went," Nya explained as we continued deeper into the tomb, "That's why I brought these." "A bag of rocks?" Sora asked, unimpressed. "Are those Seeker Stones?" I asked, surprised as Nya nodded in confirmation, "Where'd you get them? They're really rare." "The Monks in the Cloud Kingdom gave them to me," Nya explained, "There's supposedly a burial vault in here. If I arrange the stones correctly it will show us anything we seek. Well, anything that isn't alive. Weird rules, I know." "Given my luck recently, I bet those stones fall into acid before we get a chance to use them," Sora huffed. "Sora, what are you talking about?" I asked, confused. "Huh, if you haven't noticed, things don't always go right for me," Sora explained bitterly, " I create a hard light technology, it's turned into a weapon. Almost win a mech race, cause a war between two kingdoms. We try to find a Dragon Energy Core to save the world, it's missing. I'm a black cloud." "Don't be silly," Nya replied as we both placed a hand on Sora's shoulder, "Never lose hope, Sora. We'll be fine... Woah!" Nya yelled in fear as she activated a pitfall trap, dropping us down towards a pool of acid. As we fell Nya used her powers to push herself into an opening in the wall as I grappled in to land next to her, grabbing Sora and Ryu to pull them up, only losing Clutch Power's book on Surviving Deadly Traps to the pool.
