Agastya's mom and I leave the room after talking for some time and head towards the living room.

I notice Agastya is still sitting on the couch where I left him and he is looking untouched.

"Agastya, amhi vat pujun yeto, tu ajun thoda vel thambnar ahes na?" Agastya's mom asks him.

(Agastya we are going to do pooja, you are staying for a bit rights?)

He glances at his watch before give a small nod to his mother but I know he is getting late.

"Agastya!" I call out his name and motion him to come aside he looks at me in confusion but follows me non the less.

When we are out of ear shot I grab his hand step near him.

"If you are getting late, you can go, I will go home alone" I whisper to him.

"No it's okay I will wait" he replies.

"Arey, I am saying na you go to Uni I am going to stay here for a bit and then return home" I scrunch my face at his denial.

"What will do you here? Come to the university with me and study in the library till I am done" my immediately scowl at his suggestion.

"I am not going to sit in the library wearing a saree, besides I don't have any classes today, It's my holiday" I retort back.

"Everyday is a holiday for you, you just need excuses for not studying" I stare at him in shock surprised by his choice of words.

"Excuse me? Are you taunting me?" I ask exasperation.

"That was just a mere fact" he replies nonchalantly and I gape at him.

"You- how could you-" I am short on words when his mother calls my name from the living room.

"I am going to stay here for a bit, pick me up when you are done with professor work" I push his shoulder guiding him outside while he continues to tell me I should rather go and study in library.

"Aai, he is getting late for work he will come back to pick me up later, haina Agastya?" I smile at his mother and say the last line grinning at him.

He opens his mouth to say something but I am already pushing him towards the door.

"I will drop him till the door" I say back to his parents sitting in the living room.

"Aadriti-" Agastya's tone holds a warning but I still continue doing my work till he is standing at the door.

He turns back to face me when we reach the door and looks at me with a glare.

"I will wait-"

"No, nahhhh, nahi" I shake my head side to side disapproving his demand.

"You do your work and come back to pick me up when you are done" I speak again and he sighs.

"Why do you want to stay here?" He asks confused by my behavior.

"Nothing, I am just spending some time with my in laws is that bad?" I question and he sighs again shaking his head totally disapproving my statement.

"You-"

"Yes exactly, you are getting late go, or else they will cut your salary" I open the door and Agastya walks out with no choice.

"I will come back till the afternoon, Eat if you are hungry you don't have to-" he is blurting out instructions but I cut him in between.
