I carry the bags full of snacks in my hands while humming the song as the elevator door opens on my floor. It's utterly silent on my floor as usual but there is something different today.

As I walk towards my apartment I notice that the door is slightly ajar, making me frown, knowing very well that I closed it before going on my little trip to the shop.

Are Agastya friends here already?

And at that thought the frown leaves my face instead a smile takes over as I march towards the door.

I am about to call for Agastya when the scene in front of me, makes me freeze on the doorstep.

I take a look at the ten guards eerily familiar as I scan the room finding Aakarsh bhaiya standing there with a step posture. My heart starts beating in my ribcage as I notice the other person in the room.

My Elder Brother.

Kneeling in front of my Husband who has a bloody face as he stares at his opponent without blinking his eyes.

The bags from my hand drop to the ground grabbing everyone’s attention as they all stare at me standing in the doorway.

“What are you doing?!” I scream as I rush towards Agastya who stares at me in relief while his face is scarred with all types of bruises and blood.

My brother leisurely stands up as if he has no hand in my husband’s condition.

“Agastya, are you okay, are you fine?” I cup Agastya’s face frantically looking at his bruised and bloodied face as my heart drops looking at his condition.

“Now, now tesoro, don't you think it's rude not to greet your brother when you are meeting him after months?” Advay drawls casually not caring that I am literally panicking at this moment.

“What the fuck did you do to him?” I snap, glaring at him while carefully holding Agastya’s face in my palm leaning closer to him as to give him some comfort.

“Language” My brother warns “Is that what I taught you?” He raises an eyebrow at me with the calmness of a tree.

Knowing you can’t win an argument with my brother, it's the only trait I carry from him. Hopefully. I focus all my attention on Agastya.

“We need to get you to the doctor” I grab Agastya’s arm about to pull him up before someone grabs my arm in a steel grip, pulling me upwards and ripping my hold from Agastya.

“You are coming home with me” Advay bhaiya mutters looking straight in my eyes without any expressions on his poker face while his eyes remain calm and composed.

I hate that I have to tilt my neck just to give him a stare off while his words slowly register my mind.

“I am not coming anywhere with you!” I spat at him in anger trying to get myself out of his grip.

Maybe If we were meeting in different circumstances I would have acted more civil with him but he deserves this.

My brother doesn’t move an inch even after my attempt to set myself free so I look at Aakarsh bhaiya for his help but looking at him stops my struggle to set free.

I stare at him in disbelief looking at his face which looks as bruised as Agastya’s. The only difference is his bruises are not fresh and bleeding like Agastya’s.

“You-” I look at Aakarsh bhaiya before turning towards the tyrant who is holding me hostage against my will “Did you do that to him?” I question, even when I know the answer.
