The book in my hand drops creating a loud thud that echoes in the room.

They both look startled at the noise but as soon as Shreesha turns and sees me standing near the door her expressions changes from startled to smug.

"Oh! Aadriti" she drawls casually turning fully to face me "I didn't know you were awake"

Placing a small smile on her face she walks towards my frozen form and touches my shoulders gently.

"Get dressed soon okay? We wouldn't want to be late for the party right?" She chuckles as if telling me an internal joke and turns to gaze at Agastya.

Agastya is staring at me with a scared face as Shreesha turns to give me a taunting smile before leaving the room.

"I- I didn't do anything- trust me-I was-" Agastya starts blabbering while striding towards me in quick steps.

He grabs my shoulders looking at me frantically as he continues to blabber "I didn't know she was-"

"Okay, stop-" I give him a quick nod of my head before wrapping my hands around his palm to remove them from my shoulders.

"No- I am telling the truth- she was-" He doesn't let me remove his hands, instead grips my shoulders tightly, staring down at me while shaking his head.

"I know, I know, calm down" I make a move to grab his hands again pushing him inside the room to make him sit on the couch.

"Agastya" I called his name sternely before he could start blabbering again and he shuts his mouth staring intently at my face.

"Relax okay, I didn't even say anything" I grab his shoulders in a firm grip trying to calm him down.

Once I am sure he won't start panicking again I take a step back but Agastya tightly grabs my hands not letting me move.

"I am just going to bring water for you" I say and attempt to remove his hold but he just grabs my hand more tightly.

"I don't need water" he mumbles shaking his head and I decide to drop the idea before kneeling in front of him.

"Okay, I won't go anywhere" I place my other hand on his as he is grabbing my hand while he starts justifying himself again.

"I didn't know when she came here- I was standing there and-"

"Agastya" I put a stop to his words and sigh to myself "Did I ask for any explanation?"

I narrow my eyes with a serious look and he shakes his head gently.

"But I wanted to tell you that-" He starts explaining again and I cut him off.

"Then tell me only what I am asking, okay?" Agastya stares at me for a few seconds before nodding his head in agreement.
