AFTER washing her clothes and setting them out to dry, (Y/N) prepared a hot water bath that she easily slipped into, the tension from her muscles relaxing and a small sigh escaping her lips as she soaked in the moment. What was more, as she looked to her life, she could see a toilet, proving that there was indoor plumbing.

She nodded, satisfied.

Even though History class failed me... it's okay, since my question was answered.

Letting out a content sigh, she thought back to her earlier conversation with Kyojuro. She had asked him about doing something in return for him since he had not only given her food and lodging, but was also training her and helping her improve her chances in the game—through he didn't know that yet. Of course, Kyojuro being Kyojuro, merely laughed her offer off and only said that if she stayed to become his Tsuguko, that was more than enough payment for him. While he said that, she was still going to try and do all that she could for him.

I can cook some of the meals, maybe even help him on his missions if he wants me to, and I'll make sure to keep up with my training so I don't disappoint him, too.

Even though I know I have to raise his favorability because he's a love interest...

I kinda just want to do so because...

He's kind.

Really kind.

Placing her hands to her cheeks as a scattering heat enveloped her face, a crooked grin working its way onto her lips for thinking such things, she then quickly shook her head in hopes of cooling down before stepping out of the bath and wrapping a fluffy towel around her body. Draining the water, she dried herself off and slipped on the clean clothes that Kyojuro had lent her while hers were drying, finding that they were a bit loose on her, but not minding the fact in the slightest.

"Rengoku-san?" She called out to the man as she ran a towel through her still wet hair, hoping that it wouldn't be too difficult to tame in the morning.

"Ah, I'm over here!" His voice reverberated throughout the house.

Walking towards where she had heard him, her feet padding softly against the floor, (Y/N) smiled brightly when seeing him sitting on the back porch, the sliding door open to give view of the sun setting. Since he had bathed before her, he was already in a loose kimono that revealed part of his toned chest, something that gave him an easygoing look while his usual tied back hair was completely down. Sitting beside him, she looked towards the sky, finding the splash of oranges and reds from the sunset quite similar to the color palette of the one next to her.

"You know..." Kyojuro began, his voice soft and low. "I've always dreaded the night. The night brings demons and the death and destruction that they create. But, no matter how many times I see it, no matter how many times it has brought the night, I can't help but love the view of the setting sun."
