OBANAI wasn't a man who was easily impressed, but the fact that (Y/N) was able to discern that the clones were weaker and therefore make a plan of attack as fluidly as she did was truly remarkable when dealing with the high stakes of a demon. So, as he chased after the main body of the lizard demon, he trusted (Y/N) enough to the point where he didn't have to look back nor have a second thought of if she were dead or not.
Then again, he had already presumed that she wouldn't die so easily, nor be in his way.
(Y/N) currently was facing the final clone, gripping her katana tightly as she readied herself. When the lizard demon's copy snarled at her before racing towards her, jumping upwards with its claws out in front of it, she let out a slow breath.

Jumping upwards in what appeared to be a straight vertical slash, (Y/N) then just as quickly changed her body position midair to deliver a sweeping, circular slash across the lizard demon's neck, watching with a giddy grin as the demon's head flew off of its body. Landing in a roll on the roof with a grunt, she sprang upwards to find that the demon had already filtered into ash once again.

Fist pumping in victory, (Y/N) hurriedly turned in the direction of where Obanai had run and sped along just the same as he. Soon enough, she found him again battling the lizard demon at an intense speed—so fast they were but a blur in her eyes. However, at times, she was able to see some aspects of their movements, too, but such scenes were gone as quickly as they came.
Then, suddenly, his eyes met hers.
In an instant, both knew what they had to do.
Readjusting her grip on her katana, (Y/N) ground her foot into the roof's tiling before shooting forward alongside Obanai to work in sync against the lizard demon's attacks. Obanai couldn't help but be stunned from how efficiently she was able to handle such a demon, as he assumed she was of a lower rank entirely. He didn't think he'd ever be able to interact with her, as he never much liked doing so with the female Corps members.
