"UGH..." (Y/N) groaned from the dull pain that spread throughout her body as she groggily opened her eyes, wincing from the harsh sunlight that suddenly invaded her vision before staring blankly upwards at whiteness. "Did I... die?"

"Thankfully, no," a serene voice then exclaimed, snapping (Y/N)'s attention towards Shinobu's visage that appeared in her vision, a soft smile on her lips. "Iguro-san prevented that."
"Hm?" Shinobu seemed a bit puzzled by her question. "What do you mean how? He carried you."
"That doesn't seem right..."
Currently, she was in the Butterfly Mansion's medical ward lying in a bed with several bandages wrapped around her body—mostly on her upper shoulder and torso from where the demon had raked its claws through her. She felt bitter at the thought, having hoped that by now, she would be able to escape such dangers. Unfortunately, it looked like she would just have to train to be even stronger than she was now.
Shinobu then chuckled, attracting her attention.
"What?" (Y/N) glanced her way.
"You can ask him," she hummed as she gestured with her head somewhere out of (Y/N)'s line of sight considering she was still laying down. "He told me what happened and why he had to carry you. That was very kind of you, (L/N)-san."
