THAT night after dinner, and after Mitsuri and Obanai bid goodbye, (Y/N) couldn't fall asleep. No matter how she tossed and turned, her brain was a haywire of activity that couldn't be put to rest. She wondered if it was because she was still uncomfortable with her broken ribs and arms, but she couldn't be sure, so she removed the blanket from her face with a sigh as she blankly stared up at the ceiling.
Man...
This sucks.
She blinked, sighing heavily.
I should get some water.
Sitting up with a groan, she meandered through the mansion until she found a glass that she could fill with some water. Taking a sip, letting out an exhale of contentment from the cool liquid, she then began her way back to her room until a sight caught her eye. Stopping in her tracks, she glanced towards the porch where the sliding door had been opened by someone. And there, sitting along the wooden veranda, was Giyu.

"Tomioka-san?" (Y/N) whispered softly as she approached him, watching as he turned ever so slightly to face her. "What are you doing out here so late? Couldn't sleep?"
"Yes," Giyu murmured, turning away.
"...I couldn't sleep, either," she shrugged, taking a step closer. "Mind if I join you?"
"No."
(Y/N) then sat down next to Giyu, tucking her feet underneath her as she did so. She stayed silent for several seconds, looking up at the night sky where she could see several stars twinkling in the darkness. Not only that, but the moon, albeit half a moon, still shone like a beacon to light the way for any lost traveler. Smiling softly, she allowed herself to relax in that moment, finding peace and serenity in this quiet time which she didn't often get.
She then glanced down at her hands, fumbling with her fingers.
