TERRIFIED was a lightly put statement of what (Y/N) felt despite having stared death in the face before. Then, when facing Muzan, she was able to escape with her life merely on the premise of being 'interesting'. At least, too interesting enough to kill. Unfortunately, now as she faced Kokushibo, she knew that such sentiments wouldn't apply to him, as he would give no time for such conversation.

Ugh.

This damned system.

Always wanting to kill me with these demons as love interests... like, seriously?

But...

She swallowed thickly.

Dammit, if they aren't good-looking.

Was there really a reason for that, Gotouge?

Really??

"You are Upper Rank One," she then called, hoping her voice wasn't as shaky as she thought it was whilst she held her katana out in front of her, knowing Kokushibo would attack quickly and without mercy—after all, he had no mercy to give. "I never imagined I would be crossing paths with the second most powerful demon today, but... here we are, so I stand corrected."

Kokushibo said nothing to this.

(Y/N) expected as much, as she already knew him to be a reserved character.

She steadied herself.

I'm only at the Mizunoe rank.

I'm literally going to die.

I can't beat him.

System... please, help me.

She knew she was scared, desperately pleading in the minimal seconds of silence that was bared between herself and Kokushibo, however at the same time, her fear suppressor had kicked in and was keeping her reactions to a minimal level so as not to overwhelm her. It was useful in such situations where death loomed like a haunting presence, but at the same time, it could not keep all the fear away.

She glanced above Kokushibo's head.

𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘: 0%
𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: Another helpless Demon Slayer...

She gulped.

Well...

I'm so fucked—and not in the good way!

She then gasped when suddenly having to launch herself backwards to avoid Kokushibo's wide swinging attack, the blade of his katana mere inches from her neck. He seemed impressed by her reflexes and ability to move in his presence, as so many quite literally could only stay rooted to the ground in pure fear when seeing him. Practically flung to the ground from the force of how quickly she had to move, she stood, shaking, as she faced him again.
