"Ah, (L/N)-san," Shinobu turned to greet (Y/N) with a soft smile, removing her hands from Inosuke's arm which she was currently wrapping. "It's nice to see you again."

"You as well," she nodded politely before glancing at Giyu. "And you too, Giyu."

He stared at her.

She smiled.

He then looked away.

"By the way..." (Y/N) turned her attention towards the two boys, feigning ignorance of the entire situation at hand despite knowing exactly what was to happen. "What happened to them?" Stepping closer, she let out a small, faux gasp as she exclaimed, "Hey, I know these guys! They were at Final Selection with me."

"Were they now?" Shinobu hummed in curiosity. "You see, we all just returned from a mission at Mt. Natagumo, and uncovered something interesting: demons working together in a group. Quite strange, isn't it? If you look over there, these are all victims of a deadly poison that turns them into spiders. That's what those demons were—spider-like."
