THAT next morning, (Y/N) stared at the favorability percentage above Douma's head along with his thoughts. She hadn't even considered reading them last night, but now it was all she could look at as he prattled on and on about how she shouldn't leave so soon since he had everything she needed for herself in Paradise Faith.

Of course, she wasn't listening.

Okay.

What the heck.

𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘: 19̸%̷
𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: Does she h̸̖͂á̸̯v̴͎͐e̸͕̕ to insist on leaving so soon?

Why is that shit glitching like that!?

Shaking her head slightly as if trying to shake her worries away—which didn't help, by the way—she turned her attention back to Douma who, surprisingly, was still speaking.

"...which isn't something that is desired, (Y/N)-chan," he hummed as he tilted his head from how he propped it up with his fist, his brows creasing and his expression showing one of sorry despite his eyes telling a different story—a story of carnal hunger to rip apart flesh and partake in the guzzling of warm blood. "It's far too cold for you to go out with such a frail-looking body." Her brow twitched at his words, however she continued to let him speak as he continued, "My servants have informed me that the storm has only picked up through the night instead of stopping. It would be a shame if you were to freeze out there."

His eyes darkened.

After all, a frozen human body was not as preferred as a warm one.

Especially a female's.

"Apologies, Douma, but I must return," (Y/N) reiterated with a slightly wavering tone, something she knew Douma noticed by the way his lips seemed to want to twitch downwards in displeasure.

Of course, his mask of concern stayed put.

She frowned.

A great actor, indeed.

"My family is waiting for me, and are quite impatient to hear how my grandparents are faring," she lied easily once again, forcing her voice to stay even despite how Douma's intense gaze seemed to drill into her form with an avarice for just a taste. "I thank you for granting me housing for the night once again. You are too generous." She bowed her head, hoping to appease Douma's pride as she continued, "I wish you nothing but health and happiness... until I see you again."
