MUICHIRO sat down beside (Y/N) and ordered a bowl of udon that quickly came out, allowing him to use his chopsticks to slurp up the noodles hungrily. It was clear that he hadn't had food for at least a couple of hours, something that made sense considering how he had just finished a mission. (Y/N) chuckled at this, finding that he was still boyish even if he was older now.
"How's the udon?" She asked.
"Good," he nodded.
"I'm glad," she smiled softly, the look filled with affection that didn't go unnoticed by Tengen. "It's been a while, so it's nice to see you again."
Muichiro nodded, turning back to his food.
Tengen propped his head up with his fist as he observed the interaction, slightly puzzled as to what type of relationship the two had. After all, with the way (Y/N) was looking at Muichiro, it was as if she had known him for a long time, strangely enough. Tapping a finger against the table, he couldn't help be feel something strange from (Y/N)'s reaction, his lips tugging into a frown the longer this strange feeling proliferated.
After all, this had never happened before.
"Say, (L/N)," Tengen then uttered after clearing his throat, wanting something to take his thoughts off of this unneeded emotion. "This has been on my mind for a bit... but you're still very formal with everyone. Why is that?"
"Huh?" (Y/N) blinked, puzzled by the sudden shift in topic. "Well, I respect you all, so talking respectfully is the obvious way to go, isn't it?"
"Yes, but come now," Tengen laughed. "We've trained together and eaten together, so you can speak casually to me." He then leaned forward with a smirk, humming, "That way... I can speak casually to you, too."
"R-Right," she stuttered, leaning back in response to his actions, slightly flustered. "Um, thank you... Tengen."
Tengen blinked at that.
Then, he couldn't help but genuinely smile.
