WHEN Giyu's almost sapphire blue gaze met (Y/N)'s, she faltered in her tracks, taken aback by how clear and deep his eyes were. His beauty was different in comparison to the other Hashira and demons, and it was evident in the melancholic expression he wore that showcased profound sadness. Finally, when the silence stretched too thin, she quickly looked away, clearing her throat awkwardly.
"Apologies, Kocho-san," she murmured quietly. "I didn't realize you were with a patient, so I'm sorry for barging in here like this."
"W-We're sorry, too!" Mitsuri quickly gave a short bow. "And to you as well, Tomioka-san!"
"It's fine," Giyu stated softly, his voice as deep and imposing as a flowing river.
"Yes, it's quite alright," Shinobu smiled gently, snipping off the last piece of Giyu's bandage before setting aside her supplies and placing her hands in her lap. "I was just informing Tomioka-san here that he should not be so clumsy. To think that he would hurt his shoulder like he did because he tripped over a rock is really something, isn't it? I don't think I've ever met another Hashira like him."
Mitsuri giggled behind her hand, and even under his bandages, it was obvious that Obanai was smirking.
Giyu blinked.
Then he frowned.
"You know that is only because a demon threw me," he stated rigidly.
"Yes, yes," Shinobu chuckled.
(Y/N) cracked a smile, however she quickly brushed it aside as she then uttered to Giyu, "Hello. I don't think we've properly met, but I am (L/N)(Y/N), Kyojuro-san's Tsuguko. It is nice to make your acquaintance."
"To you as well," Giyu gave a short bow of his head before standing, rolling his shoulder carefully before pulling his shirt and Haori on. "Thank you, Kocho-san, for treating me. I will be on my way now."
"Be careful, Tomioka-san," (Y/N) waved Giyu off. "I hope to see you again soon."
Giyu stopped only once, turning his head as if to look back, but then he continued on once more, turning the corner and disappearing out of the medical bay. (Y/N) watched him go, a bit sad that he hadn't stayed, however she knew that he wasn't exactly the type to be friendly to strangers—or even his fellow Hashira, for several reasons. That is, until the system issued a pop up she hadn't expected.
