"CAW! Caw!" Jun squawked as he landed upon (Y/N)'s window, stirring her from her slumber and making her sit up with a tired yawn.
"What is it, Jun?" She mumbled sleepily.
"A letter from Rengoku Kyojuro! Caw!" Jun announced as he hopped along the window sill, a rolled letter tied to his feet. "A letter from the Flame Hashira has arrived! Caw! Caw!"
"I hear you, I hear you," (Y/N) yawned as she untied the letter from Jun and waved him away.
Unfolding the letter, she then began to read, her lips curving upward into a lamenting smile upon hearing from Kyojuro that he was currently away on a mission and that he was sorry that he wouldn't be able to visit. He wished her well and promised that he would do everything he could upon his return to treat her so that her wounds don't worsen. Sighing softly, she tucked the letter away and was just about to remove herself from the bed when Shinobu appeared with a tray of her daily medicine and tea.
