It was finally time to start off my 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with a bang. Summer was now over, and I had fully recovered from the traumatic experience of completing my OWL exams at the end of 5th year.

Next up, the NEWT exams. Those take place next year, but everyone knows the hard work should start from day one. Right from the very beginning I have to stay focused, no distractions and just work as hard as I can.

I smashed my OWLS and I hope to do the same for the NEWT. They determine my future really, and whether I'll actually even get employed.

So yes, I'm stressed to the core, but that's not what matters.

Music plays through my AirPods as I sit in one of the empty compartments on the train, waiting for it to set off to school. I pray that either Hana or no one comes to sit with me, since I have 0 energy to socialise right now.

First day back, six o'clock in the morning. Not the vibe.

"Oh hey Nari." A voice suddenly says, and as I glance up to the opened door, I find a boy with a bright smile and glowy skin stood before me.

"Jake, hi." I smile.

"Am I alright to sit with you?" He asks politely and I nod, taking my AirPods out.

Jake, just like me, is in Ravenclaw. I've known him for a while, and we're not too close but we're good friends. He's a sweet boy and kind of reminds me of a puppy.

As he sits down opposite me, he places his backpack down and then glances up at me. His brows furrow for a moment, a look of confusion reflecting off his face.

He blinks his eyes and then opens them again, to almost scan my body and face and then clear his throat. He scratches the back of his head and I give him a puzzled look.

"You okay Jake?" I ask with a little laugh.

"Oh yeah... I'm good." He pauses. "You look a little different Nari. Did you do something to your hair?" He asks, sounding as if he knows I've done nothing to it.

It looks the same as it usually does but I guess I've learned to style it better.

"My hair?" I take a strand and look down at it. "No?"

"Ah."

"Wait do I look bad or something?" I ask him and an alarmed expression forms on his face.

"Oh no, no, no. Don't think that. You look beau- great!"

"Haha, thanks. As do you." I nod and he smiles awkwardly before pulling out his phone.

Strange.

"Oh it looks like the boys are gonna be here soon." He tells me. "You wouldn't mind if they sit with us, right?"

"Boys? You mean..."
