Niki and Aki walk through the doors and once they see me, Aki rushes up to me to give me a hug too. Niki stands there frozen, just as I am, with his eyes widened.

"These are my sons, Riki and Aki." Their mum says and my parents and herself notice that myself and Niki are stood there awkwardly. "Have you met before?"

We both look at her and my parents nervously and Niki scratches the back of his neck as he glances back at me.

"Yes, I'm friends with Niki at Hogwarts. I never knew he was your son Mrs Nishimura." I say to her and a big grin forms on her face.

"Oh that's wonderful." My mum says, rubbing my shoulder. "Do come on in guys."

We all take a seat on the sofas in the living room, and I can't stop fidgeting with my hands, as I'm sat across from Niki, who's gaze won't leave me. It's so weird seeing him in my own house... and just the fact that his mum is friends with mine... I can't process it. What a coincidence.

My parents and Mrs Nishimura continue talking about their work and whatever adults talk about, whilst Niki sits there, leaning back on the sofa with his legs spread out since they're so damn long.

I begin to turn more red with each passing moment that he spends at my house and decide to distract myself by showing Aki the Christmas board games we have.

But suddenly, I'm brought into the adult's conversation when my mum asks me, "So how long have you and Niki been friends? You've never mentioned him to me."

I grow embarrassed as my eyes shoot towards Niki who has an obvious smirk on his face.

"Oh uhm I only got to know him at the beginning of this year." I tell her and she nods.

"So what house are you in Niki?" My mum asks him and he sits up straight before answering her.

"Slytherin. Your daughter has been a really good friend to me for the past couple of months. She actually tutored me for a while before our exams." He explains to her.

"Was she a good tutor or did she annoy you?" My dad asks whilst laughing and I cover my face.

Niki laughs at my dad's question and replies, "No, no. She was extremely helpful."

"Well, Nari can only help you so much. It all depends on whether he actually tried in the exams." His mum sighs, making me giggle.

"We'll let the grade sheet do the talking." He raises his hands coolly, making my parents laugh at his humour whilst I roll my eyes. "I really have improved."

"I'm sure that's all because of your lovely and intelligent daughter." She says to my parents, complimenting me and Niki raises his brows at me.

"Nari, how do you fix this puzzle?" Aki asks me, and shows me the bit he's struggling with as I try my best to figure it out and explain my strategy.

"Woah, you're really good at this." He compliments me, making me smile.

"Thank you Aki. You're learning super fast."

As I'm focused on playing with Aki, I feel the presence of the very person I was trying to distract myself from taking a seat beside me on the carpet. I turn to look at him and his eyes are locked on me, making me extremely nervous once more.

"What are you doing Niki?" I whisper to him.

"Can I not play with you too?" He asks, his deep low voice right next to me ear causing goosebumps across my body.

"Sure." I say through gritted teeth. "Although I wasn't expecting you to be here."

"I didn't know I was coming to your parents house specifically." He tells me. "I'm not complaining though. What a treat." He smirks and I scoff.
