ship: katsuki bakugo + eijiro kirishima.

Eijiro Kirishima stood outside Katsuki Bakugo's dorm room, his heart pounding in his chest. He wiped his sweaty palms on his pants, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. The hallway was quiet, most of their classmates busy with their own studies or training. Kirishima felt a surge of nerves as he waited.

After a few moments, the door swung open, revealing Bakugo, who looked at him with a mix of curiosity and mild annoyance. "What do you want, Shitty Hair?"

Kirishima scratched the back of his head, offering a sheepish smile. "Hey, Bakugo. Uh, I was wondering if you could help me with something."

Bakugo raised an eyebrow. "What kind of something?"

Kirishima hesitated, the words almost catching in his throat. "It's, um, about math. My grades have been slipping, and I could really use some help. You're good at this stuff, right?"

Bakugo crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe. "And why should I help you? What's in it for me?"

Kirishima's eyes softened, his voice earnest. "I really need your help, Bakugo. I'm struggling, and I don't want to fall behind. Plus, I think it'd be cool to study together. You know, as friends."

Bakugo stared at him for a long moment, his intense gaze making Kirishima feel exposed. Finally, he sighed, running a hand through his spiky blond hair. "Fine. Come in. But don't expect me to go easy on you."

Kirishima's face lit up with a grateful smile. "Thanks, man. I owe you one."

They both settled at Bakugo's desk, Kirishima pulling out his math textbook and a notebook. As they began to work through the problems, Bakugo's sharp mind quickly pinpointed where Kirishima was going wrong. He explained concepts with a surprising amount of patience, his usual gruff demeanour softening slightly as he saw Kirishima's determination to improve.

Hours passed, the sun dipping below the horizon and casting the room in a warm, golden glow. They worked side by side, their shoulders occasionally brushing, sending sparks of electricity through Kirishima. He tried to focus on the math, but his mind kept drifting to the boy next to him.

As they reached the end of their session, Bakugo leaned back in his chair, stretching. "You're getting better, but you need to practice more. Don't expect to pass just because I helped you tonight."

Kirishima nodded, a genuine smile spreading across his face. "I will. Thanks again, Bakugo. You're a real lifesaver."

Bakugo shrugged, a faint blush creeping up his cheeks. "Whatever. Just don't make a habit of failing."

Kirishima chuckled, his eyes twinkling with affection. "I'll try not to. But, um, Bakugo... I was wondering if maybe we could do this again sometime? It was kinda fun, you know?"

Bakugo looked at him, his eyes searching Kirishima's face. "You really are a dumbass, aren't you? Fine. We can study together. But only because I don't want you dragging the class average down."

Kirishima's heart soared, and he couldn't help but reach out, clapping Bakugo on the shoulder. "You're the best, Bakugo. Seriously."

Bakugo grumbled, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't go spreading that around."

As Kirishima gathered his things and headed for the door, he paused, turning back to Bakugo. "Hey man, one more thing."

Bakugo looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly. "What?"

Kirishima took a deep breath, his heart pounding. "I really appreciate you helping me out. It means a lot. And... I think you're pretty awesome."

Bakugo's eyes widened, a blush spreading across his cheeks. He looked away, muttering under his breath. "Idiot."

Kirishima grinned, his own cheeks flushing with warmth. "Goodnight, Bakugo. See you tomorrow."

As he walked back to his own dorm, Kirishima couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, there was something more between them than just friendship. And he was determined to find out.
