While Blaze already had met Amy's grandma and already knew the woman she couldn't help but be nervous about meeting her formally. All Blaze met her and was helping her with her moving. Which was nice but it didn't seem to allow them to interact that much. Now that Blaze was dating her daughter the least she could do is meet her and interact with her. She would after all have to eventually. That didn't make Blaze any less nervous though.

Blaze walks out of her house with advice from her family and still being nervous as ever. Blaze walks out and look around every place she has walked to before and now again but to formally introduce herself to Amy's Grandma. So she walks and walks and walks. To Amy's house. To see Amy's grandmother. That's all she can do. So that's what she does. She keeps going no matter how much her gut tells her to go back and that it isn't worth it.

Blaze embraces the cold. She's on autopilot and she keeps going. It isn't that cold after all. She can still walk. So she does and she keeps on going. By the time she's half way there her stomach completely drops. But she keeps on going. No matter what. Going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going. Until, finally, she arrives and knocks on the door. Fortunately for her Amy answers. She obviously looks panicked, Amy obviously notices her problem.

"She'll be down in five minutes, You'll be fine, don't worry... She is extremely kind. You have absolutely nothing to be worried about" Amy says to calm her nerves

"Thanks Amy." That didn't really help her all that much but Blaze is still grateful.

Amy helps Blaze take off her jacket and sit down while they wait for Amy's grandma. They both sit down. Apparently Amy cooked dinner, which Blaze finds very nice. In her mind, that is what quality looks like. All made by her girlfriend. She looks at it and can't help but smile.

"You cooked this? I didn't know you could cook." Blaze says.

"Yeah, I can. One of my hidden talents, I guess" Amy waves off the compliment

"Well, I for one am happy. Especially for how good this looks!"

"Thanks"

"You really outdid yourself."

"Thanks, that means a lot"

Amy sheds a single tear at the constant compliments, Blaze wipes it up with her napkin. Amy looks at her after Blaze does that and Amy hugs Blaze, which Blaze graciously accepts. Blaze also hugs her back. Then they seperate, then go back to again, still waiting.

After all that time. Amy's Grandmother still hasn't come down. But she does after a little bit. Coming down slowly but surely down the stairs and into the room where Blaze and Amy are sitting down at. She sits across from the two. In the middle of the two. Where the point is that they are holding hands at.

"Hello, Blaze." Amy's grandmother says with a friendly set subdued tone.

"Hello." Blaze says trying her absolute hardest to not sound nervous.

"Amy, Dear, this food looks great!"

"Thank you grandma."

"No need to thank me, you did all of it." She chuckles and puts some of the food on her plate. Then passes it to Amy, who passes it to Blaze. Then who passes it back to its original place on the table. The three stay quiet for a bit. For Blaze the tension is thick and she hates it. The other two don't seem to mind. Well Amy doesn't as so does her Grandma at first. But then the latter seems to break the silence. For her sake and for Blaze's and because all of this obvious attention.

"Blaze, dear, why are you so tense?"

"No I'm not."

"Oh, I can tell. There's no hiding it.

"...Well can you blame me?"

"I guess I can't but we should have a conversation. About all this."

"Sorry for being nervous?"

"Oh, no need to apologize. I just want to make sure you're comfortable."

"Oh, Thank you."

"You're Welcome."

With that set, the three actually get to having conversation. Normal conversation. They eat and finish. Blaze helps with the dishes with Amy. They finish it quickly, together. After that Blaze hangs out at The Rose residence for a few hours. With nothing much besides relaxing and cuddling with Amy's grandmother nearby. Eventually Blaze leaves.

Blaze makes sure she doesn't leave without kissing her. Amy loves it. The two say their goodbyes and Blaze leaves. Making sure she gets home before dark. The way back home seems to take a lot less time. Maybe she's walking faster or maybe it's because she doesn't need to worry about it anymore. So Blaze keeps on walking and walking until she gets home. Coming back up to the driveway then finally to the door that goes into her home. She breathes and opens it.

She goes inside and breathes a breath of relief on the other die of that. Only to see her Mom at the kitchen table. She knows it's not done yet. She sits down. It won't be anything bad. Only the same thing she did a few hours ago. Except this time she's the one planning it.

"So how was it sweetie?" Vanilla asks.

"Went a lot better than I thought it would." Blaze tells back.

"Good to hear, so when is it my turn to formally meet your girlfriend?"

"Give me some time to recover from today, please."

"Fair enough. Love you Blaze."

"Love you too Mom."

Vanilla gets up and Blaze stays in the kitchen. Blaze wants to cry but she refuses to. She'll be fine. She isn't bottling it she swears. She doesn't want to cry. Everything is alright. She can't cry at the most mundane things. She can't do that to herself and do others.

Blaze gets the rest of the day to rest and recover. Largely because Marine and Cream still ask her questions and such. But other than that small part, Blaze gets rest. She goes to bed slowly and happily. Thankful that the day is done and now she can move on to the next part. Even if that part still sucks in the same way.
