The Nightmare Before Christmas

Friday is great for everyone, the day before Christmas Eve. Kicking off the last leg of the holiday season. The calm before the storm some would say. Others would not say that as today is almost if not just as chaotic as tomorrow and Christmas itself. But that doesn't matter. A lot of people are happy and a lot of people enjoy this season. Even if it's not for the particular reason for the season. Everyone celebrates this time for different reasons with different people and different festivities. Amy and her Dad largely hang out. While Blaze goes around making sure decorations are up and the house is clean. Of course Cream and Marine help her, they help her a lot if she's going to be honest but Blaze leads the charge for the most part.

Then Christmas Eve itself comes. With fanfare and joyfulness and all that comes with it. Everything is good and fair. Everyone is seemingly happy. At the very least they seem that way. Putting on a face where they can hide. Hoping nobody sees the real person inside. But for most, today is jolly. Hoping for presents or hoping for family and friends. No matter what, the joy doesn't seem to end. Maybe it's this time of the year that makes people happy or the hope that surrounds it. No matter what or who or why. People come and stay for the holidays, no matter how. Christmas Eve is here, all should rejoice. It's for the best and it's the most joyful day besides Christmas itself. So enjoy it while you can.

Blaze goes to bed not feeling anything besides joy.

Blaze sees her face again, with a new face. It plagued her again. It's like an absolute nightmare. Blaze is terrified. It's fine though. Everything is good. Besides the two faces that present themselves to her. Blaze didn't even know one of them. Why are they in her head? It doesn't matter, she wants them gone. But they won't go. Two faces taunting her by being there, not even doing anything.

Everything is the same shade of green. That sickening shade of green. Blaze would throw up if she could. But she's still. Absolute still and silent. She couldn't speak even if she wanted to. The nightmare does not relent. It won't stop. It continues. It keeps going. Unchanging. Blaze honestly she didn't wish for this. This is so much worse. The faces don't even react at all, not changing. They stay the same. Painfully, it hurts. It hurts. She clings onto any hope. There is none. There is none. There is none. There is none. There is none. It doesn't matter. This all doesn't matter, but yet it remains.

Blaze wakes up in pain. It doesn't matter what kind. It hits her like an entire train racked into her body. Her eyes immediately go open. She wants to scream. She wants to scream. She wants to scream. She can't. She wants to let it all out. Nobody's listening, right? She turns in excruciating pain, not any worse as to what she was feeling only change is now it's in motion. She sees Cream and Marine sleeping peacefully. It doesn't matter, she still wants to scream. Blaze holds it in through, until she feels better. She goes to sleep again despite everything.

The dream returns. She knows she's in a dream. But she can't look away. She can't get out. Two faces are still here. Two faces that haunt her and will continue to haunt her. Maybe she shouldn't have put this off so far. Eventually it becomes, while still terrifying, monotonous. In a creepy, don't look away kind of horror. It's horrifying and Blaze hates every second of it. She's in pain. Doesn't matter what type of pain. It's painful. It hurts. It hurts. It hurts. It won't stop. The nightmare keeps going. Still going. Continuous for seemingly forever. Blaze can't run. Blaze can't move anywhere. It won't go, it won't stop. The pain is still there. Blaze feels terrible. Horrible.

She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person. She is a horrible person.

The pain is dreadful and it won't stop, it seemingly goes on forever. The pain is dreadful and it won't stop, it seemingly goes on forever.                Blaze wakes up, everything hurts. Blaze refuses herself to go back to sleep. Blaze doesn't want this. Blaze stays up, not going back to sleep. It's 3:56am when she wakes up. So she'll wait, she guesses. Blaze hoped it won't at least feel so long. It feels long.
