Honey's forgotten how tight Elias' embrace is. He's hugging the life out of her, pressing their bodies together under the large comforter. All she can do is wait for him to wake up because the slightest movement she makes will wake him up. Then he'll be pissed which will ruin Honey's mood.
She's not particularly fond of starting her day off on a bad note. She already knows Elias will be in total control of her now that they've made up.
In that little deluded head of his, Honey is his to possess until he gets bored. Honey wishes he'd wake up one day and hate the sight of her. Though the more time that passes, it feels like she'll be stuck with him forever. The thought of spending her entire life with Elias has shivers running down Honey's spine.
Suddenly his tight embrace leaves her feeling confined. She needs to get away from him. Even if it's just for a moment.
It's a fine art trying to untangle Elias' limbs from hers. He's the lightest sleeper that she knows. Each movement of his body away from hers ends with him shuffling. Sensing that she's trying to get away from him.
"Stop moving." Honey doesn't have to look up to know he's wide awake. His arms return to their original state, wrapping around her, suffocating her.
"I want to get up."
"Go back to sleep, love."
The pet name sounds foreign to her ears. Elias hasn't called her that since the whole Samantha thing, which all started less than a week days ago. Time here seems to move fast.
One minute she's celebrating her 16th birthday on a Friday that felt anything but special, then she's yelling at Elias for bothering to apologize to her. Next he's making out with Samantha, who he's clearly not over, literally in the same day they made up.
And now it's Wednesday and thoughts of Shawn, Samantha, and Melena are left behind as Honey's relationship restarts. The cycle of her and Elias continues.
Every time they make up, Honey tries to remind herself why she even likes Elias. Sure, he's handsome but what else is there to him?
Besides his ego, his douchebag personality, and abusive tendencies. He's all cons, very little pros. Honey knew she should've gotten away from him the very moment he beat that guy up at the amusement park. She knew it even more when he forced her to tell him who she was talking to, even though they barely knew each other. And yet, she stuck around because he filled her head with lies about caring for her.
