"Well, it seems you had a bit of an adventure there, didn't you?"
The Commissions meeting room felt too clinically cold, like they'd cranked up the AC at the mention of your arrival, the wooden table freshly clean for the occasion if the lemon-like smell in the air was anything to go by.
Instead of sitting in the usual place you took beside the President when inside, you'd been made to sit in the chair opposite to her, all the way towards the almost end of the room. This made decision didn't bode well for you, and already you could feel the bit of hostility the woman held.
She wasn't happy with the way things went down, and whatever comfort Aizawa had given you before you left was now long gone. In its wake sat dread, and now that the heavier talk had been cleared, you could only assume at what the next couple of minutes would look like.
Shame, shame, shame.
"Would you care to tell me how it was that you let the mist Villain- Kurogiri- get the upper hand so early into the assault?"
And so, began the questions.
You wait a beat, licking at your lips as you try and think of how to formulate your words. If you said the wrong thing, sounded snarky instead of polite, shameless instead of regretful, you had no doubt there would be Hell to pay later.
The Commission wouldn't stand for you making a mockery out of them, not after everything that was done for you.
With a hesitant breath, you recounted the moments leading up to your separation, slow and simple. "I was in the back of the group, with Thirteen, trying to make a plan that would allow us a chance to exit the building or at least ensure a possibility at alerting the other Pros across campus, when two students tried attacking the Villain."
When the President said nothing to your lengthy opening, offering up a hard stare instead, you continued, gaze focused solely on the shiny mahogany. "I left my post to try and cover them, in case they got hurt, but the mist Villain had seen enough and used his Quirk to scatter us around the USJ."
The blonde haired woman nodded, writing something down on the paper in front of her. She was probably checking to make sure your story lined up with what was previously reported, though, you weren't sure if you should feel insulted at the action or not.
"You spawned within the 'Collapsed Zone,' right?"
You nod. "I ended up atop one of the tall buildings, and when I made my way down, I was ambushed by a group of set Villains. I assume that, with the help of Kurogiri, they spread themselves out in order to get anyone sent their way, Pro or otherwise."
The President hummed, before adding, "Yes, it seems obvious now from the birds-eye view of the events we have. And that's where you found... Kase, correct?"
You swallowed down some of your initial nervousness, willing yourself to sit straighter, show a bit more confidence. "Yes, ma'am. I interrogated him after he was down, to try and make sense of the situation before I went back to the courtyard. I didn't want to be caught by surprise anymore and I figured he might have had information to give."
"Was this before or after he stabbed you? And, how did this low level criminal get the better of you?"
Whatever wind you had caught earlier deflated pathetically at her question. Although innocent in nature, you knew she wasn't happy with what had transpired. And, while getting injuries wasn't uncommon, she expected the best performance out of you, regardless of the circumstances you found yourself in.
Letting out a small huff through your nose, you tiredly say, "Before he stabbed me. And... I got distracted."
"Right... and did this 'interrogation' prove to be productive?"
