- 8 Days Before the Sports Festival -
"Ya know, I thought you were lazy before, but I didn't think you were this lazy."
It was Sunday, the only day off you had from school, ticking down a total of eight days left until the Sports Festival would be upon everyone.
In typical U.A. fashion, you'd had to juggle school, homework, and training the past couple of days, along with having to put up with a certain loud mouthed blonde who didn't know when to let up on the bickering.
Well, could you really call it bickering if it was one sided?
"Hey, fraud, stop ignoring me! It's not like you're doing anything anyways!"
Today, you found yourselves within Ground Beta instead of taking the the day to rest, trading in the flora and fauna of Ground Omega for a replicated metropolis. You hadn't wanted to change the grounds initially, but Bakugou had been complaining about how easily everything would go up in flames, so you'd decided a change in scenery would help keep him under wraps.
It hadn't, obviously, and you were left to deal with his usual sermons anyways.
"I'll blast your face clean off if you keep this up!"
When you made no attempt to reply, still seated and quiet a couple feet away, Bakugou began stomping towards you, boots pounding heavily on the street as he haughtily murmured to himself.
Just when he was about arms length away, you finally peeled your eyes open, giving him a questioning once over before sighing, slouching and destroying the perfect posture you'd been in. "What do you want this time?"
This back and forth had been going on for days now. The blonde would get riled up for seemingly no reason at all, would try to rile you up in turn, and when that didn't work, would try to fight you of all things. You didn't even ask that he remain by you like you had at first, giving him total reign over where he went, but that had apparently lost its charm over the hours.
It was seriously starting to grate on your nerves, so much so that you started to question why you still invited him into the damn training grounds.
You'd even thought about just ditching him altogether to just train at Aizawas house instead, but the one day you'd been just a little late, he'd blown your phone up with a bunch of texts, all of them insulting you in different ways. You didn't want to drag all of that home with you, so you just sucked it up, not wanting to hear him whine for the rest of the day like he was usually prone to do.
Bakugou stopped is trampling steps, digging his hands into his pockets as he said, "Are you even listening to me?! What are you even doing if you're not here to train?! You've just been sitting there!"
"Not that it's any of your concern, but I'm meditating-"
"Oh, yeah? Ya gonna meditate the competition away, or what?"
You sighed once more, wishing the ground would swallow you up instead. "If you really need to know, it helps with my Quirk. Allows me to feel the water around the area and come up with possible attack methods. Not everything needs to be done all flashy, you know."
Bakugou bristled. "What're you tryna say?! That your Quirk is better than mine?!! Hah?!"
"Jeez, I'm just trying to train! Shouldn't you be doing the same? That's the whole point of mooching off me, remember?"
The teen looked away, squinting off into the distance in what you could only assume was contemplation. He kicked his leg back and forth, kicking up stray pebbles, until he said, "I need a sparring partner for today."
