"Can you tell us everything about the events that transpired on U.A.s school grounds today? Maybe starting from the beginning will help us understand the situation better."
Sitting in the HPSC meeting room was draining.
You and half of the Pro Hero U.A. staff have been sitting in the same stiff, burgundy colored chairs for the past three hours, each person getting their own special interrogation as the clock ticked. Although none of you were suspected of any suspicious intentions with the days 'attack', you'd all been told it was all part of protocol before any real discussion could begin.
You understood procedures, had been the one to enforce many of them when asked to, but God you wish they'd hurry it up.
"It happened during lunch. I was in the cafeteria with some other students when an alarm went off..."
You tried to keep your impatience to a minimum as you went over the day in full detail. Due to the severity of the situation the school had found themselves in, a call for a serious intervention came over. For a top school that prided themselves on their impenetrable security, it was a definite blow, one that had made news headlines that same afternoon by the very Press that had managed to barge in.
On top of that, someone had managed to slip by unnoticed, enough so that they'd been able to reach the seventh floor of the building before retreating into thin air. 'Embarrassing' is what Aizawa had called it on the ride over and you had halfheartedly agreed with the sentiment, mind elsewhere as you pondered over what you could've done differently.
Nodding, the person conducting your questioning (A subordinate whose name you never bothered to look for) began crossing things off their notepad. "Did you notice any abnormal behaviors from the people around you? Something out of place that normally wouldn't be?"
Eyes rolling to the side, you thought hard. "I can't really say, to be quite honest. Everything seemed in place except for the Press. Though, with All Mights presence being outed, I can't say I didn't expect as much."
That was a lie. The one thing that had been abnormal was the confrontation you'd had with Bakugou after entering school grounds, but you doubted the blonde had anything to do with the break-in. Didn't seem to fit his MO, which is saying something since you've only had classes with him for a total of three days.
Sighing, the employee stood, having gathered whatever information they needed. "I see. Well, in any case, we thank you for your cooperation (L/N). As soon as the rest of them wrap up, we'll begin the meeting." With that, they stood, bowing gently before clutching onto their small pad, leaving the space in front of you unoccupied.
As you waited for the rest to finish, you drummed your fingers onto the oval table. 'Was there any way that today could have been avoided...?' Everything had seemed out of nowhere. You had estimated at least a week or two of peace, Hell, maybe even a month if you were truly lucky before an actual sighting of the Number One at the school. Not to mention, nobody knew who'd outed the man in the first place, the only staff privy to All Mights attention being those that ran the Hero Course. It was an obvious set up, someone had tipped off the Press in hopes of such a huge reaction, but who?
"Still thinking about today?"
The recently unoccupied chair was pulled back and sat on once more. Aizawa plopped down heavily onto it, sighing deeply as he leaned back on the stiff plush of the seat. The man looked ready to pass out, exhaustion stretching his features thin in a way that made him look older. "Yeah, I guess I am. It's just... I don't know..."
"Everything's gotten complicated in such a short amount of time."
You nodded. "Not only does it mean that the school will be receiving more media attention, it also means there's an even bigger target on its back. It's already a hotspot for aspiring Hero's, but it's also a place that Villains like to keep tabs on. A drastic change of personnel, especially with someone like the Number One, can only bring bad news. It'll be harder to keep certain things under wraps since it'll have various eyes on it, and we can only hope that All Might doesn't let anything slip that can be used against him or the school as a whole..."
