"Everyone!! Morning homeroom is about to begin. To your seats!!"
Like clockwork, the entirety of class 1-A was brought together again to beat the first school bell of the day, a new weekday establishing itself among the still shiny semester.
A total of four days had passed now since the USJ incident, with Principal Nezu giving the entire school the rest of the second week off in order to upgrade security measures like previously discussed. Within that time span, you and the rest of the Hero course students took to licking your wounds clean, both physical and mental, preparing to emerge from the rubble you had all found yourselves under in such a short amount of time.
Spirits were up in a way you had never anticipated.
While you had expected everyone to be on edge, to question why things happened and even blame the institution for the scars they would undoubtedly carry from this point onwards, that wasn't the case. Instead, everyone carried cheery attitudes, grateful that their studies wouldn't be stopped any further.
It was... a nice thing to see, you had to admit, having prepared for the absolute worst when you had walked into class today.
Still, even with that positive energy permeating the air, that didn't bar Iida from the lighthearted jeers sent his way, everyone having already taken their seats long before that reoccurring chime had even had the chance to hit. Especially when they came expertly from Sero, the tape Quirk wielder having a distinct affinity with cracking jokes and trading easygoing insults at the most opportune of times.
"We're sitting. You're the only one up."
Metaphorically stricken, the bespectacled male took Seros words to heart, ashamedly walking to his seat in the back of the room with his hand over his heart. You shook your head slightly as snickers filled the room as he passed, though they didn't last long as Aizawa finally came barging into the room, accidentally slamming the door open in the process due to his still bandaged arms. "Morning."
"You're back already, Aizawa Sensei?!!"
Recovering from his initial despondency, Iida thrusted a hand into the air, loudly saying, "Glad to see you doing well, Sensei!!"
Uraraka visibly grimaced at the class Presidents choice words. "If you can call that, 'doing well'..."
Wobbling to the podium in the front of the classroom, Aizawa disregarded your peers words, shaking every so often whenever he paused. "My welfare isn't important."
"Because your fight is far from over."
Alarm filled the entire class at your teachers statement, eyes peering this way and that in order to gauge out whether the turn of subject was good or bad.
"Our fight?"
"Don't tell me..."
"More Villains?!"
Shaking his head, the tired Pro quieted down the floating questions that lingered. "U.A.s Sports Festival is fast approaching."
Tiny gasps fill the room, and then, "That's so totally ordinary!!"
Relieved that there would be no more mention of surprise Villains, the students took to clamoring in support of the news, though, there were some in particular who seemed plenty weary of the sudden change of attitude.
"Come on! We just had a Villain attack. Are you sure about this?!"
Aizawa took a moment as he debated his words, responding to Kirishimas understandable confusion with a logical response. "It's necessary. To demonstrate U.A.s crisis management protocols are sound... that's the thinking, apparently."
