For the past couple of days, I've made it a routine to go out to visit the Kamado siblings every afternoon. Sometimes, Genya, Inosuke, and the Tokito twins would be there, and we'd eat such good food and have great conversations!

Over those span of days, Lord Agatsuma has also been visiting, as have Lord Tomioka and Lord Rengoku. I don't know what happened to Lord Iguro or Lord Shinazugawa, but, if I'm being honest, I never really cared for them because of how rude they were

However, I've also noticed some very odd things. For one, Mitsuri has been acting very strange lately. She's a lot less talkative than usual, and also kinda clingy. And, as for Yorrichi, I don't think he likes going into the village at all. The only reason he comes with me is to ensure my protection.

Whenever I try to check on the progress of Blue Spider Lilies, either Shinobu or Tamayo stops me. Tanjiro and his family have also been acting a bit weirdly... And, even though I thought he was getting better, my father's sickness has slowly started spreading again. But, the most odd of all, whenever I go out to the village, I feel eyes boring into the back of my head. Really, the only person who hasn't been acting weirdly is Makomo.

"Do you think I'm just overthinking everything?" I asked her when I had finished venting.

I was getting ready for yet another visit from Lord Agatsuma. He was always acting as if I didn't see him enough.

"Perhaps," Makomo hummed, "But, if you really are that worried, then maybe you should visit your father? He always has good advice."

"Yeah, but I don't want to bother him while he's doing bad..."

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind."

"Maybe..."

I wasn't planning on going to him, not at all. I really don't want to see that fleshy purple skin as it slowly spread to his only working eye. It's already started to fail him. I can't bear to look at it... Makomo nodded and pulled her hands away from me.

"Thanks..." I said, and I really did mean it.

I seriously needed someone to talk to, to listen to me, because I don't know if I'm paranoid or what, but something is definitely off.

"Y/N-chan!!!" I heard Zenitsu say, and I quickly realized that I had walked to the garden without thinking.

He rushed over to me and pulled me into a bone-crushing hug.

"Oh, I missed you so much!"

"We saw each other yesterday..."

"Yeah, but that's not close to enough! You know, sometimes, whenever I visit, I don't wanna leave! I just wanna stay here with you and act like the married couple that we'll be in just a few months' time!"

"Wow, wow, okay, let's slow down a little," I said, already feeling a headache coming on, "Why don't we take one step at a time? We're still on the courting portion."

Zenitsu pouted but went along with it anyway. And when it was time for him to leave, he was so reluctant that he had to physically be dragged out of the castle.

I felt relieved to have him off of my back, but it was short-lived when I realized that I had to go to the Kamado estate late today. Tanjiro's younger siblings are just so overbearing... Maybe I shouldn't go today? One day won't hurt.

I decided to stay in the palace for the afternoon, and with the free time on my hands, I was unsure of what to do. I could go to bed early to soothe my headache, but when I tried to, I was stopped by a strong hand grasping my wrist. I looked behind me and saw Mitsuri, but she wasn't smiling. It was a bit unnerving, actually.

"Princess... May I speak with you?" She asked.

I nodded nervously, and she pulled me into my room. She pulled me down onto my knees along with her and laid her head against my shoulder.

"Princess... You would never leave me alone, would you...? Not for a boy... Not for a girl... Not for anyone..."

"Of course not, Mitsuri! What's wrong? You've been acting so oddly lately."

She didn't say anything, nor did she move from her spot. She stayed still, which made me worry a bit. I knew she was still alive, but still, this behavior was kinda giving me a bad feeling. Mitsuri, however, is really strong, so I couldn't escape her grasp even though I really wanted to. So, I sat there, trying to soothe the thoughts that were raging through my mind.

❥ Zenitsu feels tired of courting and wants to get on to the marrying stage as soon as possible.
