"Huh?"

I awoke in a dark room. My head was hurting, and the side of my neck was sore. My head was heavy, and I struggled to lift it.

"You're awake!" Three voices said in unison.

I slowly moved my gaze to look at the sources of the voices, and I saw Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho all standing in front of me side-by-side. They were smiling, but they weren't the kind of smiles that warmed my heart. They were all creepy.

"Now, now, girls. Leave your big sister alone."

Kanae walked in behind them, followed by Kanao and Aoi. Aoi walked closer to me, her eyes scanning over my body as if examining me.

"At least he didn't cause too much damage..." She murmured, reaching out to lightly touch my neck.

I winced slightly, and she quickly pulled away. She huffed and turned to the side.

"Were you careful? I told you to be careful!" She shouted, putting her hands on her hips.

"Oh, she'll be fine," another voice that I recognized as Yushiro brushed off.

"You're lucky there's no scar! Shinobu would have your head if there was!"

"I'm not scared of her. I don't respect her, either. I'm only going along with this because of Tamayo-sama. No more, no less."

Aoi was about to shout again, but the gentle voice of Shinobu stopped her.

"It's alright, Aoi. It's the fact that she's here now is all that matters," she said, walking over.

Alongside her was Tamayo. She wasn't exactly smiling, but she wasn't frowning either. It was something in between. Upon seeing me, however, she grinned.

"Finally... I have you to myself, my dear," she said, to which Shinobu shot her a glare.

"You said you only like her platonically," she said.

"I do. I love her as a daughter. Is there something wrong with calling my daughter dear, Shinobu?"

Tamayo gave her a challenging look, and they stared at each other for a few moments before Shinobu scoffed.

"Whatever," she hummed, turning her gaze back to me, "All that matters is that you're here, right where you belong."

...

A blood curdling scream left my mouth. I don't know where I am, but it must be somewhere in the castle. They couldn't have smuggled me outside of it.

"Agh! Someone shut her up!" Yushiro yelped, covering his ears.

Shinobu rushed over and put a hand over my mouth. On instinct, I bit down on a small part of her skin that I was able to reach. She gasped and pulled away, rubbing her palm to soothe the bite.

"How dare-?!"

She let out a gagging sound, and then she collapsed to the floor. They all did. I felt a presence behind me, but it was a comfort.

"Are you alright, Princess?"

Yorrichi... I was right. Both confused and terrified, I didn't know what else to do besides break down into tears. Yorrichi untied me and pulled me into his embrace. I cried until I had no tears left to give, and then, completely exhausted, I passed out in his arms.
