The first person I thought of, the first person who I thought I could go to, was Mitsuri. She was bound to be at the palace, though, and I can't go there. So, my second option was Zenitsu. I have a general idea of where he lives, so I darted in that direction.

I went up to the front gates of the estate and was briefly stopped by the guards stationed there. They both looked at me with wide eyes while mine narrowed.

"Let me through! I need to speak with Zenitsu!" I demanded.

"W-Wait, Princess, you need to return to the palace-" one of them tried to say, but I forced my way past them and ran to the front doors.

I slid them open and shouted his name.

"Zenitsu! It's me, Y/N! I need you!" I cried out.

I almost immediately heard the sound of footsteps, and I saw Zenitsu rushing down the hallway.

"Y/N-chan!" He yelped, reaching his arms out and pulling me into a hug, "Oh, I thought I'd never see you again! I missed you so much!"

"No, Zenitsu, now isn't the time! I need your help, please! You need to hide me!"

"Hide you? From what?"

"Yorrichi! And Kibutsuji!"

"Wha-?"

"Just help me!"

It's been a few days since I've been sheltering in Zenitsu's estate. Thankfully, he hasn't told anyone. I heard that word has gotten out that Kibutsuji had me and that he sent some of his strongest soldiers to look for me. I could only assume that they were Kokushibo, Douma, and Akaza. Kokushibo... I wonder what happened with Kokushibo. Did Yorrichi hurt him? I hope not...

To help with my boredom, I looked around Zenitsu's estate. It was pretty typical of a nobleman. That was until I stepped into one room in particular. Inside... The lines were walled with portraits of a woman. When I walked closer to one of the paintings, I saw that she had H/C hair and E/C eyes. In fact... she looked just like me...! What the...?

"You just had to come in here..."

I turned to look behind me and saw Zenitsu standing there, his eyes boring holes into my own. It was creepy. It took me a few moments before I found my voice again.

"Zenitsu... What is this...?" I stammered.

"Don't you understand?! Why did you think I visited you so much at the palace! Why do you think I wanted to court you?! I love you, Y/N! I love you so much!" He dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around my legs, "Please, marry me, Y/N-chan! I'll give you the best life that you could ever- Urgh!"

I gave him a kick in the crotch, which made him recoil, and I ran out of the room. Am I safe anywhere?! No, I can't think about that right now! I need to get out of here!
