The butterfly sisters and Yushiro haven't been acting like their usual selves. It's as if they've been trying to keep a close eye on me, which I find odd because they were never this overbearing.

I was sitting in the garden with Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho when I heard footsteps coming up from behind me. Curious, I turned to see who it was, and I perked up when I saw Lord Tomioka.

"Lord Tomioka!" I said, standing up.

The girls, reluctant to leave, latched onto me, and, though I really do like them, I couldn't help but get annoyed at how bratty they were being.

"Guys-" I said, tugging away from them, "I'll play with you three later, okay? Go on and play with my sisters or something."

Their pouts dropped into frowns, and their dark eyes looked almost lifeless. It was actually kinda scary. After a couple of seconds of staring at me, they walked away.

"Who are those girls?" Lord Tomioka asked.

"Oh, just family friends," I replied, adopting my smile once more.

Giyu has started to come out of his shell, and I felt proud of myself for causing it! He nodded, his gaze shifting from the girls back to me. A light blush dusted over his cheeks.

"You're very pretty, as always," he complimented.

"Oh, don't flatter me!" I laughed bashfully.

"Shinobu-nee!!!" The three girls shouted in unison as they ran over to the doctor.

Shinobu, with her characteristic smile, hummed and tilted her head.

"What's wrong, girls?" She asked as they ran into her arms.

"W-We were with the princess!" Sumi began.

"But Lord Tomioka came by, and she told us to leave!" Kiyo followed.

"How is that fair?!" Naho finished.

Shinobu chuckled and patted the tops of their heads.

"Oh, don't you three worry," she said a bit ominously, "We have to put up with these noblemen for now, but in the not-so-far future, the princess will be ours for the taking. You just have to be patient."

I decided that I wanted to go out to the village today, and Yorrichi wasn't happy about it at all.

"That family gives me a bad feeling..." Yorrichi murmured as we walked to their house.

"Oh, don't be silly, Yorrichi!" I dismissed, "They're just bakers! What makes them give off bad vibes?"

"I don't know... I just... I don't trust them..."

I brushed his concerns away as him being paranoid. Sure, I understand if he got a bad feeling from someone like Shinobu, but I'm almost certain that the Kamados are just a family of friendly bakers, no more, no less. When we got to their house, I was almost immediately tackled by Hanako and Shigeru.

"Y/N-nee!!! Where were you yesterday?" Shigeru whined.

"Yeah!! We were so lonely without you!" Hanako added.

"Get off of her, Hanako and Shigeru!" Nezuko called out, coming over to pry them off of me.

"Y/N!" Tanjiro said, coming outside, accompanied by Takeo.

He pulled me into a hug that was a bit too tight for my liking.

"Why didn't you come yesterday! We were all so worried!"

Why, though? Were they actually that concerned over me missing a day? I don't think it's that serious.

"I was too tired to come yesterday," I lied.

Tanjiro's brows furrowed, and I knew that he could tell that I was lying. Slowly, he nodded and led me inside. We were there for too long. Whenever I tried to leave, they kept insisting that I stay, and if it weren't for Yorrichi, I would've had to stay the night.

On the walk home, I couldn't help but get the feeling that I was being watched. I hated it...

"Akaza-dono~" The man hummed, a grin lacing his features, "Don't you think the princess is just so adorable?"

"Shut up. If Kibutsuji-sama knew that you said that, he would have your head," the other man spat.

"Oh, no, not in that way! What a dirty mind you have...~"

"You little-"

"The both of you... be quiet..." The tallest man said, his deep voice demanding respect, "We were sent here for a reason... If you keep arguing, you'll ruin everything... Kibutsuji-sama has planned..."
