The disappearance of the Storm Dragon was classified as a national affair, rightfully so. Blumund, a country which shares its borders with the Jura Forest, also saw it as such.

Guildmaster, Fuze, already sent a group of adventurers to investigate. Though the report didn't ease any tensions.

"Like I said, I want you guys to go back into the forest."

Hearing that, the blond girl was not happy. "Are you crazy?! We just got out of that place and you want us to get back in?! Haven't you read the part in the report that sa—"

""The doors were destroyed from inside of the cave," Yes, I have read it. That's why I want you guys to investigate the forest again."

The kingdom of Blumund was at risk. The Storm Dragon disappeared without a trace, and the doors that kept it away from the outside world were destroyed.

Though he wanted it to be only an imagination, but..."There is a chance that the Storm Dragon is now roaming the forest. There isn't any evidence. But sadly, it is possible."

"The more you say, the less I want to enter that forest again! We'll pass!"

"This kind of high-stake work, won't it be better if it is done by A rank adventurers?"

Fuze shook his head. "Do you think A rank adventurers are easy to negotiate with?"

Rank was a system that was used to sort adventurers and monsters. With F rank being the lowest and SS rank being the highest. This system was created by the Free Guild to help adventurers gauge their strength, so they would not throw their lives away fighting a monster that was out of their league.

Rank SS only had the legendary masked heroine as its member. She was the one that stood in front of nature's wrath, the True Dragon, and won. It didn't surprise anyone that she was glorified to this degree.

Though she retired and disappeared before the founding of the Free Guild, Grandmaster still honored her with this rank.

Rank S+ was reserved for people who could fight toe-to-toe with demon lords. The Grandmaster, Yuuki Kagurazaka, and Hinata the Saint were in this rank.

Rank S was for people who stood at the front of humanity. The "10 Great Saints" was estimated to be in this rank.

Rank A was for those who were called champions. They could kill a Daemon, a threat that could wipe out the entire village, by themselves.

Even if Fuze was a Guildmaster. Connecting with those kinds of people wasn't easy. That's why he had to rely on B rank adventurers to do his biddings.

Kaval's Party consisted of Kaval, the leader and fighter. Gido, the thief. And Ellen, the mage. They might look like a group of good-for-nothing idiots at first, but they were in fact a B+ rank party, with each member reaching B rank.

"Consider this a service for the country. I will pay you extra too."

"Even with extra cash..." Kaval let out a sigh. "...This is the Storm Dragon we're talking about. To be honest, no amount of cash is worth the potential risk."

"That is only a theory. I just want you guys to investigate the change within the forest, monsters' behavior and all, and report back to me."

Ellen tried to reject it. "Wait! We didn't agree to—"

"Good luck." But Fuze ignored her attempt and forced them to accept this work anyway. Adventurers needed to be prepared for every quest the guild gave them. This was for Blumuth and for humanity as a whole.

'I can't believe I have to put my faith in them...' That was Fuze's thought as soon as he was left alone in the room. Kaval's Party was the most reliable group in Blumund, but that didn't say much considering the current situation.
