Rimuru was in front of a hell gate, it was a large curved door made out of marble.
Hell gates were gateways for daemons to come in and out as they pleased. Of course nobody would dare to settle down near these gates, that would be suicidal.
But this door was more isolated than the rest. It stood tall in the unoccupied harsh desert between 'The Holy Void of Damargania' and 'The Holy Empire of Luberius.'
Rimuru jumped off Ranga's back. "Sorry, but you have to wait outside." It couldn't be helped. The Daemon Realm was a strange place, Rimuru wasn't sure if there was any side-effect to a material life-form like Ranga. But better be safe than sorry.
'I wonder what it looks like?' Rimuru never stepped into the Daemon Realm before. Even when he was Veldanava, he had no reason to be there.
Walking passed the door, the sky suddenly changed to murky green and the floor was replaced by golden sand. Marble pillars were floating as if mocking the force of gravity itself. 'It sure is a strange place...' As strange as daemons that were its inhabitants. 'Why am I not surprised?'
'Raphael-san, I will leave the rest to you.'
«Understood, activating Extra Skill: 'Universal Perception.'»
She extended his senses to kilometers away from here. Handling this much information at once would be exhausting for the mind, but Rimuru had the reliable Raphael, so he had no such weakness.
Raphael used only five seconds to find the lives in this barren land. 'Quite far away... But I guess I have no choice.' Rimuru manifested his wings and headed to the location Raphael marked for him.
After flying for a while, a palace came into view. Daemons seemed to gather here for some reason. But a palace should have a chef and a servant, so it was a perfect place for recruitment.
Before making his way into the palace, Rimuru's eyes fell onto something on the palace wall. It too looked at him with curiosity. 'That is...'
"So cute~" Before it could run away, Rimuru managed to pick up that purple kitten. He rubbed his cheek with its flat stomach. "I didn't know the Daemon World had cats. Do you want to follow me to the Material Realm?"
For Rimuru, a pet was a pet. He adored them all the same, regardless if they were cats or dogs. Especially a cute and fluffy cat like this one, he wanted to bring it with him.
«The cat in your hand is the Primordial Purple: "Violet."» Raphael came to that conclusion with the information she already had from studying Diablo and Testarossa, which surprised Rimuru.
"Hmm? This cat's a primordial?" Rimuru's mumble alerted the cat. It struggled out of Rimuru's grip and gracefully landed.
"You're smarter than you look," it said before turning back into human. Even in her human form, she still looked adorable. She was a purple-haired girl with a ponytail on the side, dressed in a casual purple dress.
Her purple-painted fingernails, each of them as sharp as a dagger, pointed at Rimuru. She then asked, "Who sent you?"
"No-one."
"You gotta be kidding!" The man in front of her was not a daemon. He was a majin from the Material Realm. But that didn't make sense. No matter how arrogant they were, even the most stupid of all majins wouldn't dare to step into this dimension.
Primals were at their best in their territory. Those Demon Lords might think they got a chance, but if the battle was to happen in this realm. There would be no way for Violet to lose.
