-♡︎Scarlett ♡︎-

Sinking into my seat in class the following Monday felt horrible. My lack of sleep made my eyes feel as if they had gravel in them. Not to mention the pounding headache I was greeted with when I opened my eyes this morning.

But most of all I felt annoyed.
Angry even.

Knowing that Patrick Feely knew one of my biggest secrets made my stomach churn. I didn't trust him, he had given me no reason to.

It's not like I expected him to go running his mouth, telling everyone. It was more that I was worried he'd tell my brother, or worse my mam.

I knew they'd both make it a bigger deal than it actually was. I mean to me it was just something to numb the pain of everything that has happened to me in my life time, which was unfortunately a lot.

If I had just locked the bathroom door none of this shit would be on my mind.
And of course Patrick just had to barge in.

Him of all people.
He had no loyalty to me, not that I'd given him any reason to.

But still, I expected him to keep this to himself.

When the bell finally rang, signalling lunch, I had felt like I'd been at school for forever.

Walking sluggishly into the lunch hall, I plopped into the seat next to Claire, at our usual table.

"Hey chickie," Claire beamed, being her usual sunshiny self.

Sometimes I was jealous of Claire and the fact she was always in a good mood.

"Hey," I muttered, stabbing my salad with a fork.

"What would you guys think about doing something for Scarlett's birthday?" Claire blurted out making me choke on my food.

"No, I don't-," I tried to interject but Claire stopped me, "She's turning sixteen, we could do a camping trip!"

"That sounds like fun," Gerard agreed flashing me a grin.

I glared at him.

"I'm in!" Shannon nodded.

"Me too," Johnny stated once Shannon had given her opinion on the matter.

"Feely and I are in," Hughie spoke for the both of them, making me groan.

Having Patrick at my 'birthday party' was the last thing I wanted.
But I wasn't going to make a scene.

"I didn't say that," Patrick hummed, shooting Hughie a dirty look.

"Well I decided for you. I need someone to share a tent with," Hughie shrugged.

"What am I? Chopped liver?" Gerard rolled his eyes.

"Like you won't be crawling into a tent with my sister," Hughie shot back.

"Guilty," Gerard chuckled, making Claire give him a shove.

"What about you, Liz?" Claire asked Lizzie, who was busy whispering to Pierce about god knows what.
