DOWN BAD; Taylor Swift

"I might just not get up
I might stay down bad."

"How dare you think it's romantic
Leaving me safe and stranded."

"So fuck you if I can't have us
'Cause fuck it, I was in love."

Patrick

"Start pulling your weight, Patty," Valerie slapped me on the head with a tea towel.

"Jesus," I hissed, "I've been cutting these carrots for the past twenty minutes."

"And you've still got plenty to do," She rolled her eyes, turning to continue cutting celery.

"Quiet you two," Savannah shook her head, "We've still got two hours until Mam and da get home."

Sighing in frustration, I continued to cut up the overwhelming amount of carrots my sisters had shoved at me.

It was my Mam and dad's anniversary and my sisters were hell bent on making them dinner to celebrate.

"Thinner slices, Patty," Savannah was hovering over my shoulder.

"So," Lacy giggled, standing in front of the stove, stirring something, "Any news on Scarlett?"

"Don't ask him that!" Savannah furrowed her brow at my youngest sister.

"What? We've all been whispering about it behind his back," Lacy shrugged.

"Lace!" Valerie was quick to gasp.

"My god," I groaned, "Do you enjoy bugging the shit out of me?"

"Yes, we do," Lacy nodded, "Now spill."

Why couldn't I have just one brother.

"There's nothing to spill," I sighed, "We're broken up."

"Well, yeah. But she's still in your friend group isn't she? You must be seeing her," Savannah pointed out.

"Yeah, I see her," I muttered, "But she doesn't want me back. I keep either fucking up or she keeps pushing me away."

"Have you tried moving on?" Valerie suggested with a shrug

"I don't want to. It's her or no one," I mumbled.

"Awww, Patty is in love," Lacy squealed, reaching over to squeeze my cheek.

"Ow! Would you quit it," I groaned.

"Since the breakup have you talked?" Savannah questioned.

"Yeah," I cleared my throat, "A few times."

"But that's it?" Valerie raised her brows.

"We kissed..." I felt my face heat up.

"Oh my god! You had breakup sex," Valerie screamed in disgust, "Ew! Someone rip out my eardrums, I never want to hear again."
