I was furious with myself after yesterday. I had fucked up my relationship with Scarlett yet again.

I knew choosing to go to Lizzie's was a risky move, but the girl needed me and I couldn't leave her to suffer alone.

The worst part was, I really like Scarlett.
And I think she might have really liked me too.

I mean we were about to kiss and all.
I had really wanted to.
Like really.

"Hey! Feely," I heard Gibsie's voice call after me.

I turned around to see him pushing through a crowd of students in the hallway.

"Hey!" I called back, holding up a hand to wave.

Gibsie took two more steps before shoving me into the lockers behind me.

What the fuck?

"Woah?! What's going on?" I asked, my eyes wide with shock.

"What the fuck did you do to my sister?" He roared, keeping his hands on my chest in order to stop me from moving.

"Nothing," I frowned.

"Yeah? She came home in tears after hanging out with your dumbass," Gibsie snapped, "So you're going to tell me what the fuck happened, or I'm going to beat the shit out of you."

I had never seen Gibsie like this before. I knew the lad cared about his sister but I didn't think he'd threaten to hit me.

"Nothing happened! We were hanging out and I had to go," I twisted the truth slightly.

And with that Gibsie slammed his fist right into my jaw.

"Sure, you had to go," He snorted, "Great excuse."

"Chill the fuck out," I spat, pushing on his chest to try and create some distance.

"I'm not going to chill out," He hissed, taking another swing at my face, this time nailing me in the eye.

When I saw Johnny appear in the front of the crowd that had formed around us, I sighed in relief. He'd break up the fight.

But to my dismay he just watched as Gibsie repeatedly hit me.

"Jesus fuck, Gibsie," I choked out, throwing a punch at him in return, "Cap, are you really not going to stop this?"

"I'll let him get a few more hits in," Johnny smirked, "For Scarlett's sake."

With Gibsie still attacking me I had no choice but to fight back. I pushed him back and he stumbled giving me a clear shot to hit him in the mouth.

"Holy shit! Cap are you not going to stop this?" I heard Hughie gasp, clearly joining in watching us.

I watched Hughie try and grab Gibsies shoulder in an attempt to pull him off, but Johnny reacted by grabbing Hughie and stopping him.

"What the fuck?" Hughie gave Johnny a shove, "Who's side are you on?"

"Scarlett's," Johnny nodded solemnly.

When Gibsie tackled me to the ground I felt myself fill with shock.

One of my best friends was beating the shit out of me, and for what.

"Get off of him you fat oaf," Lizzie screamed at Gibsie.

"Watch it," Scarlett hissed, "Or I'll throw you to the ground as well."

"You wouldn't dare," Lizzie scoffed.,

"Oh yeah? Fucking try me," And with that Scarlett shoved Lizzie so hard she fell to the floor, "Want more? Or was that enough."

"What on earth is going on here?" Mr. Twomey's voice boomed, grabbing the back of Gibsies jumper and yanking him off me, "You two in my office now," He pointed to Gibsie and I, "And you two as well," He now turned to Scarlett and Lizzie.

"Actually, how about you all come with me," He frowned, gesturing to my whole friend group.

Pushing myself off the floor, I wiped the blood dripping down my chin with the back of my hand.

"Are you okay?" Lizzie asked me, looking over my obviously busted face.

"Yeah," I bit out, "Grand."

I could feel Scarlett's eyes on me, shooting daggers in my direction.

"Gibsie's a fucking crazy person," Lizzie shook her head.

"Don't talk about him like that," I snapped, stepping away from her and walking towards the office.

I was furious, not over the fact that Gibsie had just beaten the shit out of me, but because I agreed with his reasoning to do so.

I was a prick to Scarlett, and I'd take as many beatings as I had to if it was in her honour.

Sinking onto one of the bench's outside of the office, I released a frustrated breath. Hughie then took the spot beside me, also sighing in frustration.

"A trip to the office is the last thing I need," He complained, dropping his head into his hands.

"Well suck it up," I shot out, not having the energy to hear Hugh whine.

Gibsie appeared in the hallway, stopping and standing right in front of me, he reached his hand out for me to shake. Taking his hand I shook it and he spoke, "We're all good, lad?"

"Yeah," I nodded, as he took a seat on the other side of me.

When Scarlett sank onto the bench across from us she shot me a glare and then forced her eyes away from my bloodied face.

"This is a disaster," Claire panicked from beside Scarlett.

"It's okay," Scarlett soothed her, "You weren't involved."

"Yeah, she doesn't have crazy in her genes," Lizzie mumbled under her breath.

"Say it again you little cunt," Scarlett hissed.

"That's enough! Both of you!" Shannon shouted, making all of us jump from shock.

Her outburst worked as both Scarlett and Lizzie went back to pretending the other didn't exist.

"Just whatever he asks, deny, deny, deny," Johnny spoke up.

We all nodded in agreement before Mr. Twomey opened the door to his office and spoke, "Patrick Feely, a word."

So, with a groan I got up off the bench and entered the office, preparing for the punishment of my life.
