"You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now."

"When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know, you're alive."

"When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am."

Patrick

"Look here, Patty," Savannah beamed as she angled the camera at my face.

"You've taken nearly a thousand pictures," I complained, rolling my eyes.

"It's for memories," Savannah frowned, "In twenty years you'll want to be able to show these to your kids."

"You look so handsome," Lacy squealed, moving to fix my tie.

"Doesn't he?" Savannahs eyes filled with tears.

"Don't cry, Sav," I frowned, "Its just a winter ball."

"You're growing up," She wiped her eyes, "And you're supposed to be the baby."

"I've not been a baby for years," I chuckled, pulling her into a hug.

"You'll always be a baby to us," Valerie joined in the hug and Lacy followed suite.

"Look at all you," Mam admired us, "Let me get a picture of you all together."

With my arms around my sisters, I posed for a photo for what seemed like the millionth time that night.

I was happy to be with my family, but I wanted to get a move on so I could go see Scarlett.

We weren't 'dating' but I definitely considered us to be going to this dance as more than friends.

I mean we had so much history it was only fair.

"I've got to go," I sighed, straightening my tie once more.

"Don't forget to get a picture of you and Scarlett," Savannah reminded me as I made my way to the front door.

"I won't," I sighed, giving each girl a hug and my Mam a kiss on the cheek before heading outside.

I felt my heart racing when I sank into my car.

It was a mixture of anxiety and excitement. I was practically buzzing to see Scarlett in her dress.

So I shifted the car into drive and took off.

Pulling up to the Biggs house, I took a steadying deep breath and stepped out of my car.

Scarlett had informed me to pick her up from Claire's as she would be getting ready there.

I knocked on the door and Sinead swung it open.
