Chapter 1-Flashback

A tanned hand with crimson nails slams into the cheek of a young, pink haired girl. Tears fall down the girls innocent face as the pain of the slap reverberates through her face.

QoH-"You insolent little brat"

The voice is powerful yet feminine, laced with anger.

QoH-"When I tell you to do something, you do it, do you understand me?"

The young girl looked up at the woman in front of her.

R-"Yes, mommy."

She barely manages to speak between sobs. The woman, draped in red before her, lowers herself face to face with the girl.

QoH-"Crying is pathetic, I barely hit you, stop your balling, or I'll give you something to ball about!"

The young girl tried to stifle her crys before the woman in front of her again slapped her across the face. Pain...pain is all she remembers, her longing to just have a kind, loving mother, one who loves her for her.

B-"Red!"

The flashback abruptly ends, the pink haired little girl is no more, replaced by a young woman sporting firey red hair, same as her mother.

B-"Red, are you alright, darling?"

The voice is the same, but the clash of white and red, mixing into pink in certain areas of her outfit, tells the young woman that the figure calling out to her is not her mother, atleast not the same one she knew a few days prior.

R-"Yes, mom, I'm ok, just daydreaming."

Her tone is dismissive, she can't quite grasp what she's witnessing, the same woman who abused her for the entirely of her life all of a sudden is as sweet as a cupcake, and dressed like one too.

The young red-haired woman, whose name is literally Red, shouldn't be surprised. Red is the reason her mom has become the perfect parent. A small trip back in time to prevent a prank was all it took. Red, however, didn't act alone. Her partner in time travel hijinks was none other than the daughter of the one and only Cinderella, Chloe Charming.

C-"Ya know you finally got your mom how you want her, you should be hanging out with her."

The voice was light and beautiful. It came from the Blue haired Chloe, who was standing beside Red.

R-"I know it's just, weird, I'm so used to the Queen of Hearts that Bridget is..."

C-"Unnerving?"

R-"Yes"

C-"Well, you should at least try to Red, I'll be here if you need me."

The blue haired girl shot Red a smile, Chloe's smile was beautiful, and it made Red feel emotions she didn't understand.

R-"Thanks Chloe"

Red slowly left Chloes' side and walked over to her mother, attempting to start a conversation. Chloe watched the red-haired woman walk away from her. She couldn't help but stare, Red was gorgeous. Chloe had thought she was beautiful from the first time they met, even if she had been rude to her, but after their time travel hijinks and getting to know her better, Chloe had developed legitimate feeling for the Princess of Hearts. Chloe sighed, cleared her mind and walked over to her mother, and began talking to her, glad she was alive and well. Red, on the other hand, was still having issues with her mother, Bridget was nothing like the Queen of Hearts, but this was confusing for Red, who admittedly was trying her best. Red had, over the years, learned how to be fake, fake smile, fake listening, and caring. She was doing a decent job at faking her way through the conversation, but she couldn't shake just how weird this all was, even if deep down she was happy that her mother was actually talking to her and showing interest in her.

All of a sudden, the intercom bristled, and a certain pirates voice echoed through the garden.

U-"Alright, everyone, it is officially the end of this year's drop-off celebration, I again welcome you all to Auradon prep. To the parents, thank you for coming, and we hope to see you back for parent day soon. To my students, room assignments are posted in the cafeteria, take tonight to get comfy with your rooms and unpacked, tomorrow is for you to get familiar with our campus and your classes, we will have a orientation meeting in the ball room at 6PM, classes start at 8 Monday morning, I hope you all have a great rest of your night."

Bridget, Cinderella, Charming, Red, and Chloe all met at the entrance to the campus. Chloe said goodbye to her parents as Red said goodbye to her mother. Bridget and the Charmings exchanged goodbyes before they entered their carriage to leave. Bridget walked to her Razor Side by Side and waved to Red before departing as well.

The two girls turned to look at each other.

C-"I guess we should go find our rooms"

R-"Yeah, we should. Wonder who I'm gonna end up with?"

Chloe secretly hoped it was her.

C-"Yeah, I wonder who I'm gonna get too?"

R-"Imagine we get each other."

C-"To be honest, I wouldn't mind that."

R-"You know, I wouldn't either,"

Red shot Chloe a smile, Chloe swears she stopped breathing for a second, and she hoped her face wasn't turning as red as the girl's hair. Red genuinely meant what she said, she didn't like acting soft around people, the only person she was herself around was Maddox, but for some reason she felt at ease with Chloe, and she didn't mind letting abit of her real personality out.
