Chapter 7-❤️Girlfriends💙

The girls sat at their usual spot in the cafeteria, they talked as per usual, a couple of people stared but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary at this point. Chloe had practically forced Red to eat a slice of pizza, which Red would admit was delicious even if she wasn't hungry. Red was used to not eating, not so much because she didn't want to, but because she wasn't allowed to.

Whenever Red disobeyed her mother, she was punished. Usually, the first thing to go was food. Her mother would give her just enough to survive, but that's it. As she grew older, her mother actually had stopped doing this, encouraging the girl to eat, Red knew she didn't care about her well being, it was just so she would look better for public outings. As she entered puberty, the Queen of Hearts had started to pay close attention to Reds weight. Her mother would scold her for her weight when, in reality, the girl was a twig. Red knew her mother's plan, her mom planned to have a competition for Reds hand, whoever Won would be the king apon Reds coronation, her mother wanted her to look the best for a very obvious reason. Of course, Red had no interest in an arranged marriage, and once the invite from Uma arrived, that plan was dropped in favor of the coup.

Chloe waved her hand in front of Reds face.

C-"Earth to Red, hello?"

Red startled back into consciousness.

R-"Shit, sorry."

C-"You ok?"

R-"Yeah, fine, just thinking."

Chloe grabbed Reds' hand and squeezed it, Red looked at her, and they smiled at each other before getting up and heading for the garden. As they entered the garden, the girls started looking at the rows of neatly planted flower.

R-"You wanna know something about Wonderland?"

Chloe was a bit apprehensive. She was starting to get depressed over everything Red had told her.

C-"Sure."

Red ran her hand against the pedals of a rose.

R-"The plants talk."

Chloe was taken aback by what she had just heard.

C-"Im sorry the plants what?"

Red let out a small laugh.

R-"Yeah, certain plants can talk, the roses specially, but only natural Red roses, which where fairly rare, my mom actually forced the guards to paint the white roses Red to match the theme."

C-"That's actually really cool. You're gonna have to show me this sometime."

R-"Are you suggesting another date?"

C-"If I was, would you accept?"

R-"Of course."

C-"So it's a date then?"

R-"Yeah, but it's probably gonna have to wait awhile."

C-"Oh, yeah, I guess I should have figured that. Well, maybe you wanna go stargazing again Wednesday night?"

R-"I would love to, but ya know, it's kinda odd to plan our next date in the middle of a date, right?"

Chloe blushed.

C-"This is a date?"

Red laughed.

R-"Cmon Chloe, what did you think this was two girls who are romantically involved just hanging out?"

C-"Alright, fair point, but ya know, I don't like the way you said romantically involved."

Chloes lips curled into a smile, Red caught on pretty fast, however.
