Chapter 24-⚠️Paint the town Red⚠️

Saturday 19th October 2024-Auradon Prep Courtyard

Red, Chloe, Heidi, Jared, Dizzy, and Celia all hopped into Heidi's suv. It had enough seats for them all comfortably, with Heidi and Jared up front, Dizzy and Celia in the middle, Red and Chloe in the back. As they drove, they all talked about their little break from school, Dizzy asked a thousand questions about their hair then about their relationship. Celia was honestly just along for the ride as she listened to Dizzy yap. Soon, Heidi pulled up to their destination, a haunted house called "Scare factor." They got out and paid for tickets, then got into line.

R-"Who wants to take bets on who screams first?"

J-"You're on."

R-"Chloe."

C-"Hey."

D+C-"Chloe."

H-"Sorry, but Chloe."

C-"Ugh, fine, I'll bet on myself."

R-"So we are all agreed Chloe will scream first?"

Everyone -"Yes."

R-"Alright then."

Soon, they were at the entrance to the building. A worker ushered them inside, she explained the rules and gave them a map, she stood close to the wall. Without warning, an arm with a bloody knife burst through the side of the wall and stabbed the girl in the chest. She crumpled to the floor as our group ran into the corridor leading into the hall. Heidi led the group, Jared on her tail, Chloe and Red next, with Dizzy and Celia pulling up the rear. All of a sudden, Dizzy screamed and ran past the rest of the group. They looked back to see a chainsaw weilding undead lumberjack running at them, the chainsaw roaring to life. They all took off running, the blacklit corridor giving way to a hospital room, a bloody nurse came up to Red, she ran her hair through Red's hair while smiling.

Actor -"I think we should keep this one."

All of a sudden, all the fear left Chloes body, replaced by rage and jealousy. She moved to confront the actor before Red grabbed her and pulled her along with the group.

R-"Chloe, I love that you're protective of me and all, but you shouldn't start fights with a person doing their job."

C-"Sorry, I didn't think, I saw... well red."

R-"It's ok, Chlo."

Their little moment was cut off by a creature emerging from a hidden corridor. It crawled at them as they ran. They were then cut off by another creature, causing them to divert down another corridor. Dizzy and Celia now led the group, with Heidi and Jared at the rear. Soon, Heidi screamed, and another actor ran up behind them, clanging something together that produced a bone-chilling sound. An animatronic jumped at them from the wall before another actor strutted out in front of them, Red recognized him. It was a zombie mad hatter... he stared at the group as they walked by before jumping at Red, who actually flinched.

R-"Who the hell are you?"

The actor just looked at her, a wicked grin on his face, as he strutted back into the darkness.

C-"Red, are you ok."

R-"Yeah, that was just... weird."

C-"Seemed like they knew you."

R-"That was a zombie version of Maddox's dad."

C-"Oh...OK yeah, that is weird."

Their conversation is cut short as a Clown with a horn and knife run at them from down the hall, chasing them out of the building and into the backyard of the building, were they are subsequently chased out of the haunt by more chainsaw weilding hillbillies.
