After the Rise, a Descendant's The Rise of Red Story.

Chapter 2-Getting to know you Boo.

Red and Chloe made their way to the cafeteria and located the board with the posted room assignments, it didn't take long to find both their names as they where right next to each other, they would be sharing room 205. Chloe instantly was excited, Red was excited as well, but at the same time, she felt unsure of sharing a room in general, but it was Chloe, so she wasn't too concerned.

C-"Welp, we are roommates, I guess we shall get our bags to the room?"

R-"We shall."

Red shot a smirk at Chloe, and Chloe shot one back as they went to grab their luggage and hauled it to their room. Shortly after they began to decorate their sides of the room, the room was large and was identical on either side, including 1 bathroom and closet for each of them. Red didn't have too much to unpack so she finished fast and sat down on the bed, she watched Chloe put the finishing touches on her side, she noticed a rainbow colored pin on her backpack, aswell as on one of her suitcases, thinking it meant something to the girl.

R-"Hey Chloe, can I ask you something?"

C-"Sure."

R-"What's up with the rainbow pins on your stuff?"

Chloe froze, her heart nearly stopped, she breathed, trying to form an answer to the unexpected question.

C-"Um, they are pride pins."

R-"What is a pride pin?"

Chloe knew she was gonna ask that.

C-"Well, it's to show your support and / or your inclusion in the LGBTQ community."

R-"Oh, is that like a sports club or something?"

Chloe almost laughed, she turned to face Red, a smile plastered on her face.

C-"You've never heard of the LGBTQ?"

Red shook her head. Chloe should of expected this.

C-"Oh, well, it's kinda hard to explain, but it's an acronym. It means Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and questioning."

R-"Ok, what do those terms mean?"

C-" Well Lesbians are girls who like other girls, Gay is for guys who like other guys, Bi-sexual is for people who like both genders, Trans is for people who identify as a different gender than they where born as, and Questioning is for people who are trying to figure out where they stand."

Chloe watched Red, and she clearly was trying to wrap her head around what was just told to her.

R-"Wait, so you mean there are people who like the same gender as themselves?"

C-"Yes, it's actually pretty common here."

R-"Huh, I would have never expected that, so does that mean you are part of them then?"

Red points at the pin on her bookbag.

C-"Yes, I identify as Lesbian."

R-"So you like girls..."

C-"Yes...listen, I know this probably is weird to find out, especially after we end up as roommates, but I don't like you like that, so don't worry."

R-"I mean yeah its abit weird to take it all in at once but if that's what you like all the power to you, and for the record lesbian or not, I'm glad your my roommate."

Chloe smiled again, Red felt the same weird emotions pop up in her chest again, she felt warm and like she was lighter than normal, every time Chloe smiled at her she felt like this and she didn't know why.

C-"Ok, so you know something about me, tell me something about yourself."

Red was taken aback by the request.

R-"Uhh, well, my hair isn't actually red."

C-"So you dyed it?"

R-"Yes, my mom made me start doing it once I turned Thirteen. My hairs actually pink like Bridget's was."

C-"I wasn't expecting that. I kinda wonder what you look like with pink hair, not that the red doesn't look good."

Red blushed at the compliment, and the warm, floaty feeling in her chest seemed to get stronger.

R-"So...tell me about you love life then."

Chloe froze, why was she asking me this.

C-"Aint much to tell, I had a girlfriend about a year ago, but we split up due to a disagreement."

R-"Oh, sorry, I asked."

C-"No, it's ok, I've gotten over it by now. Have you ever been in a relationship?"

R-"No, my mom forbid me to have friends much less anything more, she said relationships and love where a waste of time, I did have this crush on one of the guards when I was about fourteen but..."

Red paused.

Chloe looked at Red. She was trying to find the words to finish.

R-"But when my mom found out she had him executed, and she made me watch it..."

Chloes jaw practically dropped to the floor.

C-"Oh my god, Red, I'm so sorry, I can't believe she would do that."

Red started to cry slightly.

R-"When I told her I liked him she said she would execute him if he ever went near me, well I wanted to be rebellious so I went out one night after curfew and started talking to him, I don't think he liked me but I ended up kissing him before I went back to my room, one of the other guards saw it and told my mother, the next day he lost his head...and I blame myself for getting him killed, if I hadn't gone out, if I hadn't kissed him he would still be alive..."

Red was full on sobbing at this point, Chloe sat down next to her and gently wrapped her arms around the redhead's waist.

C-"Red, don't blame yourself for your mother's actions. She killed him, not you."

Red was taken aback by the girls motion, the warm feeling in her chest was amplified and she felt herself calming down surprisingly quickly, but at the same time she felt weak in the knees, but also weak in a sense of power

R-"Chloe, what are you doing?"

C-"Sorry, I thought hugging you might make you feel better."

R-"It's ok, I'm just not used to letting my guard down. It makes me feel weak, and I don't like feeling like im helpless."

Chloe let Red go.

C-"Red, you're not weak for showing your emotions. If anything, you're stronger for it."

R-"That's not what my mom would say, I still remember her slapping me when I would disobey her, I'd start to cry, and she'd slap me again for showing weakness."

C-"Wow, she really was awful."

R-"Yeah, now you see why I wanted to change her, and now that I have, it just feels so weird."

Red lay back on her bed, and Chloe moved back over to her side. Admittedly, Red was kinda sad she moved... Why was she sad about that?

C-"Yeah I bet it is weird, but I'd say just give it some time and you will get used to it, I'm gonna go shower cuz I am a sweaty mess after all the fun the last two days."

R-"I suppose I should probably take one too."

C-"Yeah, you stink."

Chloe said this with a bit of a laugh at the end, Red responded by looking shocked and put her hand over her heart.

R-"That hurt, how rude."

Red then smiles at Chloe and they both laugh, Red feels the same emotion pop up just like it did when Chloe laughed at her joke back at Merlin Academy, and Chloe feels the same when she sees Red laugh.

The two girls get their stuff and head to the showers, Red finishes first and lays down on her bed in a red crop top and and black shorts, soon Chloe exits, she has a large blue shirt that is down past the bottom of her white shorts, her blue hair is still abit wet, Red can't help but stare, at the same time Chloe is staring at Red, they both quickly stop looking and Chloe lays down on her bed, they both soon fall asleep.
