Chapter 14-Wonderland

Friday, 26th August, 2024-Auradon Prep

Both girls awoke around the same time, Red pulled her phone out and looked at the time.

R-"Damn, we slept late. It's already 1."

C-"Well, we did have a long night."

R-"True, well I'm gonna go get freshened up, you should too, I have a surprise."

With that, Red hopped out of bed, grabbed some clothes, and went to the bathroom. Chloe watched her leave, wondering what surprise she was about to get. Chloe drowned out the thoughts as she got up, grabbed chothes, and went to her bathroom to freshen up as well.

Red really didn't have a surprise. She just wanted to get Chloe up and going. As she washed away last night's fun, she tried to think of a surprise for Chloe. She brainstormed for a bit before she remembered the conversation in the garden a few nights back. Red got ready and exited the bathroom, Chloe was already done, sitting on her bed in a blue tanktop, blue jeans, and hooks boots. Chloe looked up at Red. She had a red crop top on, with black leather pants, add a black leather jacket, plus matching boots.

C-"So, what's the surprise?"

R-"I can't tell you that, only guide you to it."

C-"That was cryptic."

R-"That was the point, cmon."

Red grabbed Chloes' hand and guided her out into the parking lot. The girls got in Chloes' car, and Red guided them off into the woods. Paved road came to an end, and Red told Chloe to park the car on the side of the road. As they exited, Chloe looked around, Red grabbed her and pulled her down a small dirt trail.

C-"This feels like an intro to a horror movie."

R-"Dont worry, I know where I'm going."

C-"You better."

The girls came to a large tree, a whole in the center big enough for a small vehicle, glowing with a golden light.

C-"The Rabbit Hole."

R-"You did say we should see Wonderland."

C-"Wait, what if it's different from how you remember it."

R-" I'll be ok, besides it can't be that different."

With that, Red walked into The Rabbit Hole, Chloe followed behind. The gold glow gave way to a checkerboard road inside of a black tunnel, Red held Chloes hand as they walked the short trip to the other side, exiting the glowing portal and stepping foot into Wonderland Red looked at Chloe, Chloe looked around, eyes full of awe.

C-"It's so beautiful."

R-"It was the one good thing about being raised here."

Chloe looks over at Red, who gives her a soft smile.

R-"Let's go into town."

Red led Chloe down the trail and out into the edge of the city, she looks up at her mother's castle, still red as it ever was.

R-"Huh, I was expecting it to be pink."

Chloe giggled.

R-"Whats funny?"

C-"Sorry, what you just said made me remember some of the dirty stuff I used to joke about with my friends."

R-"Interesting."

The girls continued walking into the city, Chloe had stopped to admire a row of flowers, Red leaned down next to a few roses and said hi, to Chloes shock they all said hi back.
