I look at who has interrupting my thoughts and it's Snape with his stern face looking straight down at me. Not sure what to do I just stare at him emotionless into his dark endless eyes. They are darker than the night like a pool of black liquid that you could never get out of.
"Are you unwell miss Andersen? You seem to have wandered into a deep thought with no way out." He asks and I feel like I've just been pulled out a deep sleep.
"Yeah I'm fine just a bit tired. Shall we go I'm sure there is lots to do and little time." I stand up we start walking out the hall. We get out into the hallway and I feel less tense and I can feel myself relax taking a deep breathe I didn't know I needed. We get to the dungeons and I feel myself fall down and my vision taken over.
All I see is people walking in the halls again but the same 2 people but they have a friend walking behind them following them. Snape. But why is he following them and what is happening, all of a sudden they stop and turn around I hear one say 'oh shit' but it's not very clear of who said it or if it was a male or female voice. They start running and then a flash of light from Snape's wand and I'm back in the dungeons in his arms, Snape's arms. I feel safe as I calm down gripping hold of his arm as he holds on to me.
As I get calmer I feel I am capable of standing up and walking the rest of the way but he doesn't let me. "Hey I am capable of walking the rest of the way you know." I demand but he doesn't listen and just carries me bridle style all the way to his office and he places me on the sofa. He leaves to go into the other room which I believe is a kitchen from what I can see and he comes back with some hot chocolate. I gladly accept it but wonder how he knew it's my favourite hot beverage but I remember a conversation from last week about it. I take a few sips and put down on the dark stained coffee table in front of me.
"So what happened? You fell and looked like death back there and you also didn't move for a good 2 minutes so don't give any excuses of you just falling cause I tried to make conversation but you didn't answer so give me the truth." He says demandingly and I look him in the eyes and take a deep breathe.
"Well I had a vision. You know it was weird because it was the same 2 people just walking about the halls and then you came in and they stopped an turned to face you and then they ran and you through a spell at them and then I was back in the hallway." I say grabbing my mug and taking a sip "it's nothing exciting I didn't see their faces I just saw their legs and yours it's quite easy to spot you really with your dark clothing" I say with a straight face.
"Could you show me by any chance I'd like to have the visual version... ple... please" he says stuttering at the end and I'm surprised he knows manners.
"Yeah sure don't give your hopes up it's not very exciting at all" I say putting m mug down again and preparing. "Ready" I say and he nods. I show him the visionary and when I'm back out of it I feel that we have a visitor so I look around to see dumbledore and McGonagall standing in the doorway. "Hi" I say smiling and Snape also looks at them.
"Hello, I'm to believe you had a vision and you showed Severus here. You two have a great friendship now don't you. So you can trust him which is good I'm glad at least 1 student can trust you and isn't scared of you in some way" he says coming over to sit down. "Anyway what are we going to do to get you to your full potential and get our intruders the faces to the people so we can get them to where they really need to be" he says and looks at me.
"Well there are many ways the main one is patrolling the halls every night for longer but that won't help the teachers if we are straining them further and Snape is probably the one that will get to see them first with the recent vision" I say and they just look at me intently trying to pry into me and make me speak up more. "Alright stop I'm very uncomfortable so we can just get with it. These visions aren't always in one particular time. The last one I had was at my home and I think it was the day they had 'died'" I say using air quotes around the died part of my statement. "But this one felt like it's going to be in the next couple of days if that helps with anything" I say while remembering the prank tonight not wanting to act suspicious.
"Right okay we shall be extra careful till everyone comes back hoping these people turn up before the rest of the students arrive" Dumbledore says and he leaves with McGonagall behind him. I look at Snape and he looks at me. Not sure what to do I just back on the sofa and I finish my hot chocolate thinking about the people and if it's even till safe to do the prank. I end up deciding to not say anything as I'm sure that the people wouldn't turn up tonight.
"Do you just want me to just take you back to your common room now since I'd probably be starting my rounds just after you would of left anyways." He asks and I look at him and he looks very concerned for me.
"Yes that would probably be a good idea. I think I'm scared to walk the halls alone having the knowledge I have." I say and we head off to my common room not seeing anyone assuming Dumbledore told everyone to just go back to the common rooms and stay there. I go in but hugging Snape to his surprise and thanking him.
