Chapter 34: Back to school

The day Dumbledore came I told him everything and scolded me a little because he could have seen me and if he was alive he could have told Voldemort that I was responsible and I was with Severus. I understood that I was in danger now that I was being hunted by Voldemort either way but I was going to be ready when he attacked us and Harry Potter of course trying to eliminate both of us.

It was now the day before everyone was to arrive and I had been here a week already and had done some classes too. I had my O.W.Ls date set for my exams and I was study in my usual classes but the advanced years work. It sounded strange to hear it but I was glad to know my friends would be with me and I didn't have to be with anyone else.

I was in his living room of his quarters when he came in and cleared his throat. "The train will be arrive soon so I suggest you put your robes on and head down to greet your friends at the station." He said and put down my book and practiced my charms changing my clothes and he smiled that I learned that. I went over and kissed him before leaving him for the station. Hagrid waited for me outside and we walked down together chatting the next school year and how excited to see my friends.

The train whistles and stops, I said goodbye to Hagrid and found m friends hugging them all. "The band is back together again." I say to them and we all laugh and head to the castle. Being the new year fist years are being sorted into houses and I wonder who is going to be in our house. The excitement of fresh meat is such a joy because we can scare a whole new set of people. We wait for the first years to walk through the doors and we talk about new things that had happened since we saw each other last. Gillie had a fling with a muggle boy in her neighbourhood which was rather exciting to hear about and Bella and Eli had their first big fight, making up afterwards of course such a power couple. Then the doors open and the new student walk in most of them being terrified and the very few kind of cocky assholes which will probably end up in Slytherin.

We got 8 new people in Hufflepuff this year, we had 11 in our year. We were closest to the newbies so we welcomed them and made sure they felt comfortable and had people in their corner if others caused troubled. Warning them about certain people and professors here giving them a little rundown of how things happen. They were thankful and made friends with each other hopefully becoming great friends like me and my group. Telling that my brother was the only decent person in Slytherin as that was his house he was put in. So far me and my siblings had all been put into different houses. I didn't think that was possible but I guess it was for my family.

We made our way to the common and finding our bedrooms. We had got the bedroom next to the first year we had met at dinner. I don't think that usually happens but at least we can look after them for while we are here I guess. While I was bored before my friends arrived I was allowed to go to hogsmade and I had gotten supplies for gift bags for my friends with various items that include some of the drugs and alcohol with some new ones that I baked into treats. They were thankful for me doing this. We had all tried the gummy's I had made and it felt weird and something I had never done before which I quite liked.

The first week was quite boring as it was a lot of welcoming and just getting to know the schedule which I had a more complicated one than the others with how my classes were structured so I wouldn't see them every lesson but our classes represented what we wanted to do in adult life so we didn't have each other every lesson anyways. I only had lessons potions once during the week but it was triple so it was worth it and I would see him after school the other days I didn't see Snape.

It was Friday and I was called into Dumbledores office at about 9:30 and I was unsure of what he wished to speak to me about but we shall find out. I arrive and knock on his door waiting him to call me in or open the door himself. But when someone opens the door and see Severus there a little confused he opens the door fully to see that he wasn't the openly one but a few other members of the order I walk in with confusion as I wasn't notified of this meeting but they smile at me.

"Why am I here and why are these guys here?" I ask Dumbledore mainly but also anyone that can answer my question.

"Your here because we believe that you are more powerful than you think. Not just up here" pointing to his head "but also the rest of you. Have you ever not remembered things or had strange dreams with animals?" He asks me and I do remember having a few just the past few months. I nod at him and I'm still confused as to what he's getting at I ask Gina question.

"So what if I've a few dreams of animals what does that have to do with anything and why do these guys have to be here?" I ask curiously.

"Because we think you might be a shapeshifter so we are here to know for good measure and if you really are we need to discuss a few things to make full use of your ability and train you." Snape says from behind and I look at him pretty emotionless. "I had witnessed a few animals within my home unsure of what it was I checked up on you but you were nowhere to be seen so I thought that you might of been those various animals." He continued and he seemed kind of excited at the thought of me being a shapeshifter.

"But how could that be. I never had any idea of it or that I could be one of all people." I say and Severus smiles at me with a touch of amusement in his smile. "Don't smile at me like that it's annoying." I say to him.

"Oh so I can't smile once in a while I'm supposed to be mean and weird like all your friends think I am." He says smiling softly. I roll my eyes at him and look away from him not without giving a look of 'know it all'. The first face I look at is mollies and she looks like she knows what is happening.

"Wow she knows how to talk to you. Like a married couple almost." She said casually, too casually. Severus stared at her annoyed at her comment and she didn't care for his expression.
