Chapter 35: training

After a moments silence I decided to ask how to trigger my 'shapeshifting' ability.

"So how do you suggest we test it. Did you come up with something to actually trigger it or do I have to wait for it to trigger itself." I wonder and I look at Dumbledore for these answers.

"Well for Tonks her emotions trigger her ability but I think for you it could be different with your childhood experience so we narrowed down that it's your soul and your body composition that could be changed." He explains and it does make sense that it could be that. "We have you here right is so we could potentially test it out by hopefully having Mcgonagall as demonstration first." He says and then she transforms into a cat for a few seconds before coming into her normal self again.

"Yeah but I've seen Mcgonagall do that a few times before. Yeah I thought it was cool and wished I could do that but it might not be that easy for me." I argue a little.

"Just try thinking of becoming a cat. Imagine your cells changing to the cat and if you feel something pull on it and keep going with it till it goes away." Mcgonagall says and I close my eyes and sigh. I think of a cat specifically the neighbourhood cat from my childhood street and I feel the pull she had mentioned and then it becomes apparent all over and once I open my eyes again I'm no longer eye level with the people in the room looking at their feet. It feels great that I was able to do that they all applaud my efforts and I look at Severus and he looks quite pleased with it and I hop on his shoulder and I swear I heard a laugh from his mouth but quickly hid it from the others.

"Are you quite done now. You little Siamese." At that I got off him and became human again it felt easier to go back human than it was to become a cat which I think would become easier the more I do it.

"Siamese cat huh." I say not really thinking of colouration I'd have. "What colour was I" I ask and he says.

"A very prominent red pointed Siamese. Very unique and interesting." Dumbledore says "kind of a rare breed. You will turn into that breed when you turn into a cat so I wonder what breed of dog you'd be. How about you try that this time." He says and try turn into a dog and I pull on the tugging and I turn a little easier this time. I hear people coming so I run over to the door in dog form and quickly change and open the door. The adults confused what was happening but Severus and Albus come to the door to see who was coming to his office. When behind me I open the door just far enough for them to see the golden trio, Harry looking as pale as birch and we quickly usher them in and the non teachers apperate before they are inside so it's now only Dumbledore, Mcgonagall, Snape and lupin in the office now.

They place him on the chair and we're not sure why they are here but "what happened Harry why do look like a ghost." Asks Dumbledore. Harry's friends stand next to me at the top of the stairs of his desk area.

"She been attacked by nagini. We need to go save her she's dying." He says not sure who about, but I start seeing his dream of Luna in the department of mysteries. Shit. I thought but how and why was she there. Must have been apparated there by someone but who she isn't of much importance right. But Neville. "Luna she's been taken and attacked in a place of rows with strange items." He says and I new we need to find her with or without Dumbledore or other members of staff.

"Right you going to have to show lupin where it is as hell sense me and Snape and Mcgonagall. You'll take Neville and El with you for safety in numbers but also she's older." He says and he goes back to his room to change and get Neville, Hermione also changed ready for battle. I wait with lupin outside the Gryffindor common room. It takes them 5 minutes to come back out changed and with Neville.

The plan was to find Luna have Lupin apparate her back here to give her the cure by Severus and for lupin to come back to help us get back out of there. It seemed pretty simple to do. We were also going to find the prophecy too. This was risky but we didn't want Harry going back for it and potentially getting hurt or even killed. We traveled by port key and I knew Dumbledore would have notified someone we were going once we had left and to be prepared to help. I knew Severus didn't like me going along but he needed my help and he would be potentially shamed by the dark lord for protecting Harry or any other student against him.
